Well, let's remember when AMG did their unique diesel engine, the C 30 CDI (W203) based on a tuned 5 cylinder of the 270 CDI turbodiesel engine. But sadly, it was a sales failure because it wasn't liked enough so it ended production in early 2004 (it was from 2003).

It was a very limited run for prestige. German car manufacturers have become very arrogant and lazy during the last 20 years, always coming forth with fancy new concepts but very hesitant to release actual innovation into the public market, instead coming up with superficial gimmicks and basically copying whatever technology that has been tried and tested by Japanese companies that don't shy away from being the first ones to implement new (and sometimes economically risky) technology. In fact the German car industry is so far up the government's ass, they even get a free pass with all the damages from their diesel engine scandal, while Americans who fell victim to that same fraud are being compensated for. The german car industry has been way too comfortable during the last 2 decades and now we can see Mercedes trying to pick up the pieces by releasing another nonsensical concept to desperately get everybody's attention after they've completely been oversleeping the switch to electrics. They would've had the chance to shape the industry, but instead they celebrated themselves for their achievements of the past. Sorry for the rant, I'm not angry, I'm just really disappointed.

HUGE and super professional drill with hammer can be 2 kWs ;) So 100 cordless drill is not so bad, and 10-20 wired drills with hammer... and all depends on weight, small fiat panda with about 40PS\HP can accelerate faster that 100PS\HP SUV, and my SUV with more that 300PS/HP have the same acceleration as 140-170PS/HP hot-hatch (almost). If you can make very light car (5 star crash-tested) that can be moved from drill... its ok ;)

Great channel, well-produced. As a classic car guy, I think the Simplex is beyond beautiful. Something worth a mention is that Mercedes-Benz has been a force to reckon with in F1, nailing not only reliability but regenerative systems via brakes, turbos etc in high capacitor batteries (something that has trickled down into the C Class). And just recently done exceptionally well in the new Formula E series. I would hardly call them latecomers into the world of electric. The difference is they get it right before throwing it at the consumer. As an owner of one of the first fuel-injected Benz, its simply astounding that a car 40 years plus still runs tech that modern cars struggle with if you jump over and look at what Mercedes-Benz have in the market now and the packages lined up Im pretty confident I'll be seeing history repeat itself. It's worth noting the considerable time and investment was spent on hydrogen tech, Germany leads the way in this, already running trucks and buses. Exciting times ahead.

Envay well VW actually don’t do supercars, the supercars are Bugatti, or Lamborghini, and the garbage trucks are made by Man. VW owns the brands but in the case of Mercedes you can have the same star logo in your supercar, your formula 1, city bus or garbage truck. That’s pretty unique 👍🏻

When you realise the Smart (owned by Daimler too) is actually considered *massive* in comparison as in Japan they're given white instead of yellow (for _kei_ cars) license plates. The Mitsubishi i would qualify as _kei_ though

Their reliability has gone drastically lower. I wouldn't be surprised after they rushed the EQS into market, that the software will be glitchy after the first year. Tesla is a software and battery tech, not a car making wizard. Mercedes is complete vice-versa - well built cars, but shoddy tech.

Might be because they have a "Mustang" video in the works. (Frankly, the vehicle is pretty sweet, but has no business wearing the Mustang title.) And Ford hasn't made the same claims and promises that Mercedes has. That is what they mean by "blowing it", they are a far cry from their own declarations.

Even expert drivers have to deal with that back end kicking out, but the biggest problem seems to be Mustang Drivers.

Electric cars have been around since the beginning of the car, I think we should be paying attention to solar powered vehicles imagen vehicles powered by or partially powered by the sun. That should be the future but companies can't charge for using the sun so you know..

Eventually someone will do it, even if just to monopolize an untapped market. Then everyone else will do it. That's basically why EV tech has come as far as it has. Just look at the Cybertruck. Nobody made an all electric truck, then Elon does it. Now GMC and Ford are coming into the market.
