Ok I have the same problem in 2004 c230 K sport sedan, my key will lock and unlock the car , did your key lock and unlock the car? That is a big useful information to have because I don't want to take all that apart only to find out it is the battery or alternator or something else. Pls respond thx

I don't think it's the battery my key is acting the same way but it unlocks and locks the cat and radio works and lights so definitely not the battery. What was the problem on yours? I have a c240

@@clentmiller it turned out to be my key there's a chip that got out of place so they fob wasn't readimg the key for that reason start with your car key shake it and if you hear something moving it might be your key

So i am trying to work on a 2006 c230 the steering wheel turns with out key and i can put it in gear with it out the key. BUT the key won’t turn at all i check all the fuses an everything . I am going to get another ignition with key and hope that fixes it . Idk if there anything else to do other than that

@@christiankretz6178 na had to much goin sadly house burnt down had to move out in new house had to do construction as well as landscaping I was told take out the dash an reprogram ignition an key fob itself

The same thing happened to me, I'm crazy, the central locking key didn't open well for you or it didn't work like the EZS either.

Actually, a small soft tool inserted behind the ignition ring lifts the unit out and you can get to the unit that way.

Did you try puting the key on the sensor drivers door handle and press lock or unlock
