It helped, but I had to resign from the task. On the W126 it is extremely difficult, especially if you do not want to remove the cold side from the engine and some water pipe goes right below that to the oil filter. Can't reinstall the pipe with the air assembly in place (filter removal doesn't help too much).

Yo, bro. Sorry if I comment too much, but I wanted to thank you so much, because the waterpump is finished. I wrote down all the tools I needed from your video, wrote down your process, and bam. Knocked it out. I would not have been able to accomplish this without the video. I learn better hands on so the visuals were awesome, and I have to say, it was challenging, yet fun. This is my first classic Benz, so this is new grounds to me. I hope everyone can see how truly helpful you are. This definitely wasn't a job alot of people do, because I think most would just junk or sell the car. Again, thank you!!!

​@@thebenzhouseso I got the waterpump done, but its still leaking coolant. Very slowly this time. Seems to come from my thermostat top. But its also dripping from the oil pan. Not sure what to do. The pump itself is no longer leaking but idk what the hell it could be. Any ideas in that area thatd cause a coolant leak?

@@thebenzhouse you are good my guy. I got that issue fixed. I had the oring on the t stat on the bottom of it not the top lmao. Dumb moment hahaha. No longer over heats or leaks. Now I think my ovp relay needs fixed or replaced. Took it for a spin and it died on me down the block but man did she move like hell for an old car.

loosen the 19m bolt for the belt tensioner first or you risk breaking the adjustment rod

Neat trick with loosening the ps pump pulley bolts. I always struggled with that.

So can a faulty seal or bad waterpump cause leaking that drips off the side of the oil pain near that oil level sensor or sensor on the oil pan? Just did upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat and thermostat housing top. I didnt start it but after i put coolant in it started leaking quickly. Its a good steady drip and looks like it very well could be coming from the area you shown. No oil in coolant and car fires right up so have great compression, just over heats, i dont run it.

It's probably coming from the waterpump oring sometimes the coolant will run to the back of the motor yes that's a common issue
