OMG thank you I thought my key was dead after it got stuck in the cylinder and wouldn’t come out and then I searched MBZ on how to keep the wheel straight or turn it all the way to the left to get it out and then I sprayed some liquid graphite in the cylinder and in the door keyhole and the key came out. I changed the battery and then the key fob didn’t work until I saw your video. I thought I was going to have to go to the dealer to spend $400. This is good info …it works.!! 👏

Mercedes ML270CDI Special Edition 2005. Worked perfectly. Problem was batteries where too young to be exhausted, but recodifying them worked better than new batteries. Thanks👍

OMG you are a star you have saved me a fortune plus all the hassle of not being able to lock my van all over Christmas. Your trick also works on Mercedes VIto Vans!! There are probably hundreds of Vito drivers that will have the same problem if they change their van battery. It might be worth adding the words VITO too to your title. Then other vito drivers would be so pleased. Thank you so much for posting this.!! Happy Christmas!

Thank you so much!! My manual does not make it clear that I had to hold the lock button down while I was pressing the unlock 5 times so the reset didn't work before. This has saved me buying a new fob.

Hi I have a question about my mercedes w210 e220cdi. The key was on the ignation and have a big storm and the thunder hit near my car . After that I can’t open and lock the car on the buttons only with a key. And also when I put the key on the ignation only contact working and lights is on on the dashboard but engine no work. I have tried this method +50 times. I followed the instructions, but after this whole procedure, the lock button only works once, and the key resets again. (both keys) The problem start when I replaced the battery on both keys two years ago. I tried other more expensive brands of batteries but its still the same. And since then I only use the service key so that these two would not be damaged by unlocking and locking the vehicle manually
