Great video and work jimmy. Whats your thoughts on keeping diesel fuel tank at least 1/2 full at all times for the health of the vehicle. A old neighbour told me this, but, when i asked why, he did not have a reason. Sorry, he’s not a mechanic, but has been driving lorry’s & vans for 50 years.

Thanx for the info. I had the same situation DPF cleaned pressure was 6 hpa on idle and 50 hpa at 3000 RPM, but after driving for 400 km the soot level went up to 64% . Does the soot level goes down after each regen the ECU DO?

Great video yet again. Do you know if "supreme" type diesel or Redex diesel additive is good to use and might keep everything running cleaner? Or are these gimmicks? Thanks in advance.

I don't think supreme diesel makes any difference. Some dpf additives will work. Normally you won't get a dpf issue unless there is something else wrong

Would the overdue service indicator possibly stop the active dpf cleaning whilst out on the road? I was just thinking that if the owner ignores that then the dpf may land back on your doorstep with a potential 'compliant'

Hi Jimmy, another very useful video, thank you. I know you use the Launch DPF cleaner however do you know /what you think of the Mannol DPF cleaner? It's ready in 500ml can with integrated tube ready to use, saving on the gun and compressor when you need to do a quick rescue by the side of the road if you see what I mean. Your thoughts / knowledge is much valued on this issue. Thanks again Jimmy

We all know and see from your great videos that the Launch DPF cleaner works very well however an alternative to that is very desirable especially a self contained method that doesn't need the overhead of specialist gun and compressor. I can guess why launch don't offer that however we all know that the trick is in the fluid chemical composition and thus all what it needs is the right propellant to Cary it into the DPF just like the specialist gun / compressor combination do. It will be really useful to get that solution for many of us responding to an emergency rescue by the side of the road in my opinion based on the years on the road.

I've cleaned the dpf as you suggested and taught in and followed up with the fault code cleared, but I got to test drive it for a while. I read the fault code it still shows fault P246364 the soot content of the diesel or gasoline particulate filter is no OK that is an implausible signal do you have any advice for me? Sorry for the wrong language from Thailand.
