Hello, I have the same problem with the bracket being in the way. Did you just bend it out the way in the end?

Yes. For the bracket close to the head of the tensioner you just need to bend it down slightly. It bends quite easily by tapping it a few times with a hammer

did you prime the new tensioner in any way? Or did you just took the old one out and put the new one in?

I did not prime the tensioner with oil, I don't think it is necessary

Did you have to alight to TadC or anything. Or straight swap?

@@samydragos7519 You don't have to exactly line up with top dead center. With the new tensioner in position you can simply turn the engine by hand and you will easily find the point where the tensioner slips all the way in and you can then tighten the head
