So ive just done the right mount on my 2014 W166 350 Bluetec, and the WIS workshop guide states to remove the right mount from the top, by removing the alternator. You'll need a 16mm offset wrench for the top bolt which was £10 off eBay but it saves a WORLD of pain removing crossmembers, splashshields and exhaust sections! Hope this saves someone a ballache!

Good job. I did consider that, but it also looked a bit tricky. In hindsight probably the easier way to do it as the exhaust was such a pain. How long did it take you to remove the alternator?

@@jackpwc01 it's still a bit fiddly, was finished in just under 2 hours. Alternator is just 4 x E12 and only just comes out of the gap (with persuasion!) You do need to take off the intercooler downstream pipe to get to the belt tensioner but all pretty straightforward! (Thanks for your video by the way, I'm by no means knocking your method, just suggesting an easier route!) 👍🏽

90,000km / 55,000miles , and as I bought a pair of mounts I decided to fit both
