Now I understand that for some people, when comes to buying an S-class it's either go V8 or go home, but does it really worth paying extra for the S580 just for a 0-100 km/h time that's just .6 of a second quicker than the six cylinder S500?

For sound, for prestige, for better acceleration at all speeds.Is it worth? It everyone has their own needs and wallet. Following this line of thinking, there are also much cheaper cars to move from a to b. 😉

​@@CynicalBastard511 I have the inline 6 in the E53 and it's a superb engine with very low fuel efficiency and great sound. However the S500 is quiet and I would chose the 580 just for status and for still offering a V8 in 2023. Also it's a tard faster than the 53 which seems ridiculous when I consider how that thing already goes. And this is a 2.1 ton S class
