I have a 2006 cls500, a lot or different upgrades and mods. I’m stuck on the CLS, my dad’s a Big S class guy, is the CLS 550 comparable to the s550? Im quality terms?

Hi bro, The CLS and S550 are both Beautiful and well engineered cars. Both are similar in quality. The main difference in these 2 classes is the “amount of space in the car” and “amount of features”. But to answer your question, CLS and S550 are both great quality. Both these cars share the same v8 engine. The difference is mostly in the amount of SPACE and FEATURES. For example, the CLS 550 has less space, but that is understandable because it is a “coupe”. But this coupe is not the regular coupe, mercedes design made this car a “4 door coupe”, which gives you the coupe ride and feel but also gives you the 4 door and if any extra passengers want to sit in the back. The back seats do not have the most leg room but having the option of back seats in your coupe is a plus incase needed. CLS is a luxury/sporty car. On the other hand, the S550 is definitely more spacious and will have more leg room for front and back passengers. Mercedes puts alot of features in the S class like- Night vision, Massaging chairs, etc. Both are luxury cars by Mercedes. My top favorite CLS and S class. Beautiful cars but a beast under the hood haha. Personally I love the shape of the CLS and so do my wife and sister. Honestly, it really just comes down to preference and needs on space and features. As you mentioned your CLS has upgrades and Mods, so I think you have a great CLS that has more to it vs a regular CLS then. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully this answers your question🙂.
