@@iRepairAutos Merry Christmas to you also............I have a 3500 van Camper Mercedes, nice vehicle but sometime it has to many fancy electronic circuits. All the ABS, ESP etc. keep coming on....what a pain in the a%@$.... Next time you come to the DC area bring you test equipment or tell me what I can buy to figure it out. I will even buy you dinner....Ha! Ha! Please keep making your videos. Robert

Yes, make sure to disconnect it entirely from the car when doing so.

Excellent video series. Big up for sharing these vids with the world. I'm currently restoring a w202 c180 with a similar climate control module. In this video you mention dismantling the unit although I can't seem to find that video. Did you ever make it?

Hey i have a Question. I have a problem with the SLK230, Theres no power going through the Compressor. When i put the tester its just 5v. I already checked the fuse near at the brake booster, compressor is working with a direct wire from the positive terminal on the vattery but with out it its not working. I already replaced the climate control switch but still not working. Unless they send me a faulty one. I checked the Evaporator sensor socket with a reading of 5.8v and theres a continuity between the 2 terminals on the sensor. The freon is also in good level. Any ideas what to do

Keith, my dual climate control wheel seems to slide freely and has no effect on the temperature of the air coming out of the vents. thankfully, they are always blowing cool air which helps in the tropical climate I'm from. Nevertheless, I'd like to try and find out if I can get it to work. where is the best place to start?

Hello I have a problem I own a Chrysler crossfire it is basically a (MERECEDES SLK , CLK ) which I bought last year for $1700. The AC compressor does not cycle it looks like it has R134 in it it spits out. I put a can with a gauge and it looks to be in the red. An older lady owned this car I found all her church stuff under seat. I know she must have had a back yard mech work on it because the cooling fan did not come on and they tried to bypass it and cut a wire on the cooling fan box. which I fixed. plus the fuse in the little box on the pass side had 3 fuses in it the 50 amp fan fuse was blown and I got it back to working the cooling fan comes on when the ac button is depressed but no cycling of the compressor is there a relay or something to test the compressor there is a pressure switch at the front of the condenser it has 3 wires to the switch I read not to bypass the switch if it has 3 wires due to the computer could make the car run bad. do you have any idea what it could be. this car has the 3.2 liter Mercedes engine. its a sharp looking little 2 seater. everything works on this car but the AIR conditioner. Thanks for any help. I don't have any of the ac equipment and not sure how to use it anyway . all I know is how to add R 134 . which I think it is over charged because when I add the gauge to it it shows it is in the red but it is not cycling. I own a 2001 Toyota Tacoma which does same thing until the pump is engaged then it goes into normal green pressure so not sure if this is normal. thanks for any help you can provide I live in Maryland zip 21001. I don't want to mess it up. It could already be messed up. wish I knew how to evacuate the system safely any Ideas ???

I want to ask you I have a slk 1998 my ac compressor won’t engage but if feed 12 v withe probe it engages. No leaks I am lost switches work ???

Possibly low refrigerant. Test the refrigerant levels. What scan tool do you use?

iRepair Autos Thanks for the reply my scanners is a snap on ultra. It gets me no ware I just order the I 980 Am so happy to see u are interested in helping out. Quick update I changed out the a/c block thinking it may be lock up and not letting the Freon flow My fails in the car are working from hot to cold but still no ac 🤔

iRepair Autos I don’t have gauges but only the the Freon you get from Autozone with gauge on top and I did evac the system before loading it up
