My 2004 has the airbag held on with Torx T-25 bolts, not 4mm hex. While the 4mm will work, you run the rusk of stripping the captive bolt heads.

That happened to me too once a few years ago The SRS lights won't go away. I replaced another multi-function switch on another Sprinter. This time I disconnected the battery first. No SRS light on that one. Jay did write on this post " Be sure to disconnect your battery prior to removing airbag."

Jay, where is the steering angle sensor in there? Mine has failed and I need to replace it, I have the part. Does it go inside the clock spring assembly? The online schematics I have found are not clear, Thanks

Hi Throttlemonkey, yes, my understanding is that it is in the clock spring assembly. Be careful not to adjust or rotate in the process of swapping out. I have not replaced a new one, would consult a dealer for clarification. Thanks for watching. -jay
