Thank you, nice to have you come for a ride to bonny Scotland. :-))

I wished I could be sent there more often sometimes, but its very expensive sending couriers to Scotland, they have to be really desperate for that kind of service...ha ha Many thanks for riding with me Patrick, always a pleasure for me. Take care Pat :-)

Aye Bob it was that, marvellous and sunny all the way, just one of those very enjoyable trips that come my way every once in a while. Blame ebay for the lights...ha ha, one thing leading to another and so on... No mistaking me in the dark now thats for sure. Thanks for taking a ride once again Bob, keep warm...Paul :-)

Yes a new addition. We had some small amounts of snow around central england, but the worst was around the south and east side of england. Its been very cold here with Eastern winds from Siberia coming our way, giving us minus temperatures. Im sooo looking forward to summertime...ha ha - Thanks Jobergg

Thanks Ian, its not so often I get sent this far north myself these days, quite a rare treat for me was this job. Suppose thats why I enjoyed the journey so much, and the weather was nice too. :-) Loving the old money rating. :-)

Hello Brian, that configuration of articulated trailer is one of the most common sights on our roads, europe too. Tri-axle trailers with air suspension, allows for 44 tonnes gross vehicle weight as the law stands right now. Its quite rare to see anything different, thats not counting specialist trailers like low loaders, or old stuff. One downside is, ruts or troughs in roads that are formed as a result of this setup because they are used by lots of heavy trucks with this configuration. Paul :-)

Thanks for such kind words, in recent months I've been very busy doing other stuff, but besides, I haven't had any new material to be able to turn into a half decent video, Just mundane runs, or trips into London, where I've covered the city in previous films. Happy easter...Paul :-)

Great video; the Sprinter with the new lights looks very nice! ciao,,
@MrComaToes11 жыл бұрын
I guess that explains a lot, more weight, smaller footprint = more axles to distribute the load, that's what it sounds like. On a side note, one thing I have always marveled at is the incredible turning radius of Euro and UK rigs (smaller streets and alleyways there of course) but knowing that doesn't help when you are struggling to wrestle an articulated trailer around in a tight space here in the US! Thanks Paul. By the way, the British Ministry for Transport website is a funhouse!

Welcome aboard once again Wayne, nothing much has changed except I haven't done much filming lately, nothing new to film to be honest, plus other commitments etc - You know how it goes... As for parking, that street is a 2 way street, so no problems at all about parking facing in dif directions. Only in a 1 way street would you see all the parked cars facing the same way. Greetings to Canada. :-))

I sure did son...ha ha - was a pleasure to head north with such fine weather conditions on my side, in fact all day long, we had glorious sunshine, albeit mixed in with salt dust and cold wind. That Langside Rd is in 3 parts apparently, I typed in No2, which placed me at the wrong end...durrr :-) After asking a Polish girl, and a native Glaswegian, I got there in the end.phew! - Cheers Andy

No I don't get sent up there very often these days, shame really as I always enjoy a scottish run, but having said that, because I don't get to go there too often, I enjoy it all the more when I do go. Yes lm liking my lights too, out of the many thousands of white vans out there, mine stands out just a little bit more, especially when its dark..lol - Thanks once again...Paul :-)
@Bevoin197011 жыл бұрын
Yes I got the side bars first, ebay, and local too, but then it needed something to finish off the front and rear end, so I ended up spending a little more money than I envisaged....ha ha. - I like those Xenon lights, but if I buy anything else, the only thing I would really like is a dark tinted sun visor for the front screen. :-)

Nice comment, thank you. Yes I must admit I do take care of my van, its in my DNA, never been any different, even as a very young driver with old bangers to drive around in. I have to wash them and generally keep them clean looking, its akin to wearing clean clothes for me. As someone once told me, "anyone can live in the Gutter..." tis true! - Besides forklift drivers also take extra care when near my van, they always think its NEW..lol

Couldn't agree with you more, I used to drive a Volkswagen lt dropside when I worked with the forestry so it was up and down muddy roads and I still kept it clean! my dad's sprinter isn't his so I don't think he cares, but it's annoying to see a nice van get mis-treated.

Yeah I was only about 1/2 a mile out, but it was a funny road, sort of broken up into 3 chunks, and I got the wrong chunk..ha ha - You try speaking to your contact to get talked in on a mobile phone, he has a thick Glaswegian accent and his phone keeps fading in and out..fun times... lol. Weather was brilliant all day long, both going and returning home. I did remember hearing about the east coast having crap weather that day... Cheers John :-)

Seeing a new van, or car get mistreated is so disrespectful in my view, usually by people who haven't had to spend many thousands buying the vehicle in the first place. Its said you can tell a lot about a person by the way they keep their vehicle, be it clean and tidy, or dirty and battered looking. Im with you, no matter what job it does, its not difficult to throw a bucket of water over it every once in a while. I can do mine in 10 mins, using just cold water, and a hosepipe / brush, job done.

I JUST noticed something that has slipped past me on every other English vid I've seen yours included... In the US tractor/trailer rigs almost always have two axles on the the trailer... I was stunned to see three axles on almost all the trailers, if not every single one I saw! Never noticed... is this due to weight restrictions per axle in some areas, or something else?
