No need to remove anything😁 Just open the storage compartment behind the gear lever so at 50% on the right side there is a hole zz slidemna which after inserting something the size of a pencil will raise the lock of the lever.

Amazing ! :) Was wondering, I have a 2000 ML430 I am sure the Steering Ignition Control Unit is needing replacemnet as I get random times the car will turn over and not start. I am sure the code indicator showed me that, But my question is can the Steering Ignition Control Unit OR this transmision lock you show here, cause my key to randomly get stuck in the ignition. So basicly random start up And random key getting stuck, Are these related issues or seperate do you think.

Hi, I have a C200, 2005. It seems to be in some kind of limp mode. When I start it will will go into gear but will not go past gear one. Then I have to switch it off for a few minutes and start again. The dash board still shows PRNDS that the gear is working. Can you help?

Do you know anything about the 1999 clk320 w208? I don’t see any switches or knobs to press to override the parking. My car was in an accident , and the accident killed all power to the car (was hit on driver side quarter panel). I can’t open trunk, can jump it, etc. must me in some type of lock mode. So, it was towed here and I noticed the gear shift trim was off so the tow truck driver must have done something to get it out of park. I can’t find anything online to help me, and I have to move it out of the street. Unfortunately the tow truck driver left about 2 feet of the car sticking out of my driveway and into the street.

There is a small door in the shift pattern on the shifter that will bypass parklock if you stick a small screwdriver into it and lightly push down. Also, you can open the trunk, etc by hooking up jumper cables to the power leads under the hood on the driver side. They are under a plastic cover towards the windshield. There is a + post there and you clamp the - to a good ground...basically any bolt on the body or engine. Good luck.

When stuck in park l had same problem so l read the google The problems is my car Brake lights switch will stop work the shifter and module, So it can be batery low or full so all this problem is fix all this the wheel speed sensor will stop ABS no working traction ESP And break lights switch so fix the wheel speed sensor Good to go thank you Or full it can

Hello, my car c220 2006 model automatic transmission doesn’t shift gears when it’s on D. The speed doesn’t go more than 15mph and the lever gets stuck on N, I can’t get into reverse. Unless I switch the engine off. Any solution to this please. Thank You.
