1l between min and max keeping mind you have to fill the filter too

When you engine warms up the oil will show full as it expands so don't put more than 9L in

Hi Neil, great vid mate , I do mine too and mercedes says 25,000 but I do every 10 so I'm waiting to hear your results on oil condition and seeing if there's a significant difference in miles and worth doing early,

I do mine as well. My Ford custom says 35000 miles. I do mine 15000 it takes 15 minutes and over half the price of Ford

I do my T5 every 10,000 but my mechanic. Would like to do it myself as it looks pretty straightforward. Just one question. How do you dispose the old oil.

My mechanic charges me £75 for a oil & filter change every 10k, puts best oil in Not worth me messing about with - never ever put too much oil on it’s almost as bad as running dry

I don’t trust these long service intervals- small amounts of diesel goes into the oil on regens making the oil really thin - doesn’t fill me with confidence tbh Quite shocked at the fuel filter on my van , usually about less than a tenner , £65 dealer only - when I asked why that expensive they said they last 65,000 miles 🤷🏼‍♂️- seem crazy to me

The Mercs monitor oil acidity so a van doing stop start will have the dash flag up for a service earlier then one doing motorway miles. That om651 motor can do 500k. But don't waste your time doing it yourself. Talk to Merc about service plans. They work out good value when you consider it also gives Merc roadside assistance in UK and Europe.
