89 300e being fully restored....so yes you're right..mainly the plastics go in engine bay and prone to rust.

Just bought a very clean 89 300CE for $1k us. Also just fell upon a 94 S500 donor car for the M119 for $1200. I got plans.

A clean 300CE for $1k is like almost for free! Here in europe, germany or my country the netherlands, that's not going to happen. Good luck with your m119 project👍 Also the S500 for 1200 people would get in a fight over here for that.

Had a ‘94 E320 coupe all black. Sold with 215k miles. Wish I still had it. Probably the smallest motor I’ve ever had in a car but it was fine.

Not just the engine loom, the throttle body and every wire going into the diagnostic port and fuse box and the 300CE does not have biodegradable wiring.

W124 was the sedan, the coupes are named C124 🤓

I own two Mercs., a 1994 W124 E280 & a 2003 W211 E320. In all respects the W211 is a much better car in drivability, handling, steering & power transmission. It does not have biodegradable wiring, but it does have rack & pinion steering, a 5 speed tiptronic trans. & fly by wire accelerator which is way ahead of a right hand drive cable throttle. All in all, a much better car!

@@thebarnclassics Much better now I have the AMG 8 & 9 Inch Monobloks on the W211. The W124 is a great car with it's Monobloks on as well but both cars are better in different ways, the W211 much more so!

A W211 is not a real Mercedes and not a better car. The quality has been halved, no appearance and the engines sound bad, compared to the W124 before 1993. The beautiful view over the hood is also absent on every Mercedes after the W124, W126 etc..

@@antoniocalimero1173 +1 Agreed. .. In the garage is our '94 E320 C124 coupe and a new '23 E450 Kombi All-Terrain. .. The C124 is old Sckol at its best.
