Yes those broken or loose rivets can cause major rust issues.

yes quite a few of these clips do have rust around the holes. I think i will drill every single one of them out, bag them and treat the rust - so when painted its done properly too.

How did you remove the front windshield and the rear windscreen? What are the best techniques?

rear windscreen i used the cutting wire technique and a second person. front windshield i just smashed it out as they are cheap to buy new.

@@bayogbadebo8278 i did not supply it. Windscreen company came out with it and fit it. Likely it is made in China like all other windscreens sold here.

Id use a plastic bone tool to remove the trim, No body damage that way

absolutely, but in this case its getting painted anyway. The way i removed the front windscreen today would probably need a trigger warning.

The windscreen had been removed and replaced a few times in the past, the glue was no joke - the most difficult crap i've ever had to remove and there was so much of it. I had a bright idea initially to use a red hot knife blade which worked extremely well but the fumes were killing me, i got too enthusiastic and it cracked anyway. Then it was time for the hammer.

urethane bond or sikkaflex probably, Some screen fitters must orgasm while holding the sealant guns. Urethane is nasty heated, id have used 2 people with boots on to ease the thing out providing you had seats in it still.

Ega Hardian i will be for sure in a few weeks. I want to get the proper T handled wire cutters that you feed under the glass and slowly pull around the perimeter with a friend. The back glass is expensive I don’t want to break it. The front glass was Chinese so I removed it with a hammer.
