So happy to see this. You two have become my favorite reactors. I was recently introduced to Ghost, by my 34 year old son who knows my musical tastes well. When I started searching for Ghost reactions, I found your three older ones and watch them immediately. Keep up the great work!

He Is, will be a great choice for another Ghost song, and the video is very humourous, but it's also a mockery of TV evangelists too. Also, it's so catchy, it's very difficult to get out of your heads for a while.

Oh, this brings me back. The Prequelle album came out the summer of 2018, and I was in the hospital for a major surgery. I asked my mom to get me this album, and it was at home when I got out. It was the first Ghost album I ever bought after discovering them in 2017, and I've been a huge fan ever since!

This is from the Prequelle album, which has a loose theme of the Black Death, the Plague. It's the same album that has Dance Macabre.

I don't think they had Tobias dancing for the video, but he dfinitely picked up some moves from it for his live performances XD

There's an interview where he says he's dancing, and they got a double for the standing still parts, and made a face that basically screamed "and if you believe that I have a bridge for you, dirt cheap." Ita easy to tell the double, especially when the water starts. The mask doesn't fit the dancer quite right.

Ghost has transformed a bit away from the darkness over the past years and leaned more into the good vibes, so to say. But songs like this are purposefully cheeky by having such catchy melodies, paired with dark lyrics (which bear another layer of irony with the religious commentary). Or the Cardinal dancing and having his moment in this otherwise literal nightmare video. Rarely are songs entirely serious.

As others have said the album was themed around the plague, but it’s also said that this was aimed at the band members that left and sued Tobias.

Rats is from Prequelle which is a theme album about the black plague. So you get the connection there. But it's also about the rats that's comes into your life just to make it a misery. Like bullies. In these ages they always find ways to get to you. When i grew up they were on school yards and corridors but now in these times they are everywhere like social media or in your phone. That's why he sings they still coming after you and there is nothing you can do. Try The Future Is A Foreign Land next.

I’ve tried to listen to Ghost several times but I get evil feelings and just can’t let my soul digest it. I’ll keep watching other reactions that you do, I think you two are awesome.

Love it, thanks for the reaction! Please do more of Ghost. (There is a lot of light, the darkness is directed at certain religions. Without which, the world would be a far better place -imo of course)

all songs from that album is supposed to be about the plague in medievel times. The plgeue was spread by rats. allot of people was killed. christians too. The plague didn't care...
