"Nebel" (fog) reads backwards "Leben" (life), which is basically what the song is about. This song always reminds me of the Oscar-winning 1970 film "Love-Story".

Oh damn, I never put that together. The only connection to fog otherwise would be the fog of his memories, with this story having taken place so long ago, but I never thought about that palindrome. Interesting thought.

Hey guys, great reaction as always! I remember the first time I heard this beautiful track. I was 9 years old and sitting in the back of the car while my father drove through a forest at night time. This song came up and I listened to it all quiet und felt every word in my heart. Although I didn't know anything about life at that age, I understood everything. That was the first moment, that I thought I know what love means. Sad but beautiful. One of my favorite Rammstein songs till this day 🖤🤘

Remember recommending this when you first started the Rammstein journey. Mutter is a stunning album and this is probably the most underrated song on the album. It’s truly majestic musically with classical overtones that are almost Wagnerian. Magic. Thank you for your reaction.

You just said it all. I think you can understand much better now why I (and so many other people) love them so much and cannot even compare them to any other band or artist. Another thing I wanna say is that, to me, from all Rammstein discography only "Mutter" and "Zeit" albums really don't have a weak song. Btw, it was a beautiful reaction. Love for both of you. 🖤

I completely agree, Zeit and Mutter are my two favorite albums, and the rest is extremely good for me... Even their B-face songs (like for instance "Hallelujah") are amazing!

J'aime beaucoup vos réactions, vous êtes tellement sensible à la musique de Rammstein... Nebel est magnifique et je pleure à chaque fois que je l'écoute. Elle me serre le coeur. I love your reactions. Because as a Rammstein fan, they also bring songs closer to me that I hadn't paid much attention to before. But I have a tip for you, the song "Do not die before me (Don't die before I do)" you have to pay attention to. This is a song where Till shares his vocals with a guest singer, Sharleen Spiteri from British band Texas. Beautiful and you will love it. It's also half in English.

To fully appreciate the Mutter album you still need to hear its opening song - Mein Herz Brennt. The piano version is nice to see some of Lindemann's talent, but the actual original song is one of Rammstein's grandest achievements, you must check it out.

This song hits hard for me. This song, mentioning of one last kiss and the woman no longer being there, was released while my girlfriend was locked up for attempted suicide, and I was not sure if I would ever see her again. I listened to this song every single day back then.

I understand you very well. Like Dominica I discovered the band mid of last year. Although I am Germany. You have to know that critics in Germany are very sceptic about the band due to their approach, which is a real shame. I was caught in prejudice, too. Since then I went on a journey, mostly with you, and I discovered so many impressive and touching songs and videos. Like you said, it's the honesty in their songs that catch you right away. I think, and hope, Rammstein will be appreciated as some of the best artists in the last decades that achieve to be in the Hall of Fame of music. My grandmother commited suicide in her hotel room on the day of my grandfather´s funeral. Police came and asked us (my mother and me) to wait in the hotel bar until they finished some investigations. Not kowing anything about what was going on, in the bar they played this song. THIS is the way to understand this song
