Holyfield is 90s Muhammad Ali maybe not sucessfull as him but he never ducked anyone he fought everyone , Lennox Lewis , Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe all big names named Evander Holyfield as best i faced at ringtv. Evander beat 11 world heavyweight champions, the 2nd most in heavyweight history that shows how tough hes competition was and don't forget he started as light heavyweight. Hes really underrated because he retired late and has double digit losses but compared to champs like Tyson Fury he is a real warrior. Sure Tyson has 33-0 undefeated record but he ducks Usyk and didn't even fough AJ , imagine Evander ducking Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis then fighting 0 experience mma fighter lol.

Yep. I remember watching Bowe-Holyfield 1 live. Bowe entered the ring to Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight." Strange song selection I thought. But it turned out to be an omen. That night, Bowe was primed and ready. Evander wasn't going to give in. And what a fight. The pace and skills shown were amazing. A lesser heart in Holyfield's body would have been KO'd. But no. Evander, ever the warrior, would not give up. I think neither guy was ever the same after that fight. Legend!

@@presence5426 i still say that there wasnt a heavyweight alive (or maybe ever) that could have beaten Bowe that night. He was simply unbeatable. Lewis etc would have been toast had he fought the Bowe that fought that night. In the same vein there wasnt another HW that could have beaten Evander that night either...except Bowe. That Evander would have demolished Tyson, Lewis etc like they were bugs. That was a once in a lifetime type of fight.

@@Jamesthepilgrimjourney if we are talkin height yes he was on the small side, but weight wise he was rather heavy even at a young age of 18 he was already 214lb and as he got older his weight went up too. if we are talking smallest heavyweight of all time overall jack Dempsey was 6'1, but he was only 190lb that's nearly 30lb difference from mike tyson and the guy was fighting huge guys with weight difference much bigger than Tyson ever fought. without jack Dempsey there is no peekaboo style. while he didn't invent it his style uses the same function of shifting weight to throw hard punches to make up for height and weight difference. the peekaboo style is a refined perfected version.

Riddick Bowe is easily one of my favourite boxers of all time. At one time he had it all; all the necessary attributes to be a world champion who would be recognized by all boxing sanctioning bodies. In the end there was some unrealized potential left on the table by Bowe which prevented him from smashing through to the ranks of the most elite and greatest fighters ever.

@@longshanks7157 Anyone who watches the Golota fights knows that Golota was winning. I remember when they happened: The first fight was shocking because Golota was dominating the fight. The second fight was shocking because Golota did the same thing again, got himself DQ'd in a fight that he was clearly winning.

@@egodominustuus9167 he was winning because he was throwing illegal blows. I remember watching that fight as a kid, painful to watch. Not sure golota was going to win down the stretch- boxers don't take cheap shots like that- bowe was was very hard puncher and those shots add up late in the stage. It was painful to watch.

22:49 this round is one of the most primal, “I’m gonna kill you *#%^” rounds I’ve ever seen in any sport. Reminded me of two lions fighting to the death. How either man was still standing after that amazes me.

Bowe was good, very good, but Lennox was his daddy and Tyson would eat him alive. Guy had no defence, hence the short career. But yes, he was very good for a short time. And God bless Eddie Futch. Really good upload. Thank you.

If he Bowe gave Evander these tough fights how much worse would he deal Tyson who is 2 inches shorter than Hollyfield with a chin half stronger as holyfield. Bowe had an amaizing chin as well. He would school Tyson

Jeez the Iliad , the odyssey and all of Alexander the Greats epic battles are at the same level as the epic fights of Holyfield and Riddick. Wow , talk about risking life and limb ,

Muhammed the “ draft dodger “ coward Ali was not the greatest of all time… Rocky Marciano had a perfect record. Ali was the “ self proclaimed “ nothing.
