I'm a bit bummed that they've already released quite a few new amps, including this Marshall, and yet the Spark (and SS-11X) is still not integrated into Ampbox. I know the new amps take priority, but it's been almost 3 years at this point. It is good to see that they're improving things on the effects side, although ideally (though probably a long shot), they could add plug-in host capabilities to Ampbox so that you can insert whatever 3rd party effects you want if you're not satisfied with the built-in ones.

Spark so needs to become more of a priority. It's not an old sim by any means either.

Buddy, I don't mean to derail another excellent video from you, but I know that I am not the only one that would love to see what you can do with a boss katana. I would love to see some of your profiles of famous amps and signature tones, as well as your own creative vision. Would you consider this?? Most selling amp for like the last 7 years or so

@@PlagueScytheStudiosyou're the best, man. I think you would represent the virtually empty market of heavier styles better than anything we have right now. I have heard dozens of requests for patches as varied as meshuggah to hatebreed to machine head to fear factory. Scant offerings :( I've seen just enough to KNOW it can do it well (five onboard EQs)

Plexi is my favorite platform for chainsaw. HM-2 or similar with gain on 0 and volume at max, into RAT or Turbo RAT (or if Lictlaerm Medusa, put the RAT in the parallel loop), pushing the front of a plexi style amp. Whether its a 1987X style amp, the vintage voicing on the MLC SubZero, or a Marshall MG's crunch channel or Origin 50, or a Bugera 1960, hell, a Peavey Windsor. Plexi is made for chainsaw. This obviously applies to swamp plexi amps (aka Peavey solid state amps like the Bandit and Supreme) as well.

Finally they added the Plexi! The Ecstacy already does a great Plexi tone, but I've still felt that it lacked that vintage crunch goodness that Spark had.

I know i've complained about the last few Mercuriall releases being too close to something i have plenty of, but it's cool to see this level of plexi mods represented in this way. Sure, things like Fortin Nameless and Fortin Cali from Neural DSP exist to fill that niche to some extent, but they go about their layouts completely differently, let alone the actual circuit mods.
