Actually no, it would all but completely disappear... Years ago I lost several ounces of Hg off a desk... We found microscopic beads in the carpet... That's it. Back there, it would find who knows where to disappear into the cracks and "gone". Except it wouldn't be, and would be releasing vapor until something in the ground either chemically trapped it or it all evaporates...
