Mercury EFI FUEL PUMP Replacement (Low Pressure Fuel Pump)

You get it working? I have a Mercury 60 EFI. I have changed the lfit pump and the vst . It gets on plane out the landing. Then it bogs. Any suggestions?

I have a 1997 175 EFI that will crank just fine and has spark in the cylinders but does not fire. Could this be what is wrong with mine?

Can’t say for sure but yes, the high or low pump could be causing the problem. Is your fuel bulb empty most times or does it keep fuel in it?

I have a question for you why do you think my mercury engine keeps flooding out, and also the fuel pump comes on when I turn the power on to the battery’s and then it comes on after I turn the key it’s only suppose to come on when I turn the key

Mine has constant power too, so I alway unhook battery when working on it.

Did it work? I just took apart the high pressure pump VST. My motor cut out on me while on throttle. It’s also been bogging then finally wouldn’t start.

I put the muffs on and it started just fine and ran at idle good for a bit. Won’t really know until I get out on the water for a day. Does your start and run after you squeeze the fuel bulb?

@@PrestigeWorldwideFishing Not sure why my previous reply's did not show up. Maybe because I shared a link. But anyway, no it did not run after priming the bulb. It cranks but will not fire up. I purchased the low pressure fuel pump from Amazon and the high pressure fuel pump kit from Quantum Fuel Systems for only $90. In case you're looking for a reasonable priced part.

Ok thanks. The couple quality high pressure pumps I was finding were like $500. The cheap ones on Amazon had bad reviews. Going to the lake soon to try it out so we will see. Thanks again and good luck with yours!

Welp, it wasn’t the low pressure pump. Going to order what you did and see if the high pressure pump is the issue
