Hey Captn Darren, congrats on the Purchase of your brandnew HF Amplifier. This Thing makes some Noise on the Bands. The only Thing I don't like about these Newer Generation Amps is the Switching Supplies they coming with producing interfering Noises in the RX and these knicki knacki Color Displays. Congratulations! I was looking at the Merc III, but now they have a LUX legal limit model. Doesn't matter, neither are within reach for me, but I was able to trade some stuff for an ETO 76PA :) Time to get above the noise floor!

Hey Captain, are you able to run that amp with your DXCommander? While waiting in the list for mine I am using an Ameritron 811h with 700-800 watts and I’m having issues with the DXCommander with the wires getting over saturated and SWR start raising and even areas where it melted. I don’t know how the DXCommander is rated to full legal power.

Yeah, it handles my full legal no problem. Make sure you use the dx commander's cut chart and also the SWR Calculator. Here's the calculator: www.m0mcx.co.uk/quick-swr-calculator-for-vertical-and-dipole-ham-radio-antennas/

I used the cut chart and the antenna is fully tuned but for instance in 17 meters when I start tuning the amp (full fm carrier) you can see in my LP-100A how from 1.2 SWR starts going up until the alarm goes off in the meter. Anyways if it works for you means that is something I have going on here. I just wanted to confirm that really handles full legal power and is not just a sales pitch. I was even thinking to change the wire for something more robust because that DX10 seems very fragile to me. Thanks Sr.

@@angelscomputers Yeah, it handles Full Legal limit. I normally don't run full out. I normally run between 700-1 kw.

So far it's a great amp! I did mount the SO239's backwards, take a look at my video of putting the kit together. As long as there are no anomalies, I'm leaving it as is.

Was informed that the lead time is now 1 year, I wish them luck in these trying times, if it was 3 months or less I would order one, unfortunately not willing to take that chance with having $1200.00 deposit tied up and taking the chance of losing these funds if something happens

Yeah. It took 6 months before I had to make deposit. I'm still waiting to have my Acom 1000 to be repaired and its been like 3 months now at Island Amplifiers.
