Thanks Joe for this good review. I have one being delivered tomorrow. i bought the fully assembled model for an extra $300. Anxious to get it on the air. What did you use to excite yours in this video? I will use a Yaesu FTDX-101D.

Jeez SPE is coping a flogging around the world. I've just ordered a new 1kw VK Amp,, very similar to the Mercury, bang for buck with these news style of LDMOS amps is a no brainer.

Looks like a great amp. Will it work using vox/ i bought s palstar amp they are so proud of. i also bought it with the auto tuner. i sent it back after one day because it was useless on vox. thank you for the video.

Might as well run it at 1200 watts; the PA actually dissipates a bit more power at 800W than at 1200W.

wow 10 watts get you 800? i want to run mine at 600 watts as thats what my tuner and antenna can run so i will have to run 6 watts in ? i am building mine this week

LOGO IS NOT IMPORTANT...THE BEEP IS ANNOYING... OPEN FRAME RELAYS STILL BEING USED ???? WHY ??? THE FAN IS NOTICEABLE IN IDLE, WHAT IS THE NOISE OF THE FAN AT 1 KW WHEN IN USE FOR 15 MINUTES IN SSB MODE... I DONT SEE ENOUGH BY THE BUILDERS OF THIS AMP AND MAKE IT PROFESSIONAL VIDEO......PRICE IS GOOD HOWEVER MORE INFO WILL NE NICE LETS SEE A GOOD VIDEO THANK YOU 73.
