Hero Mastery mode has FINALLY released in Season 6 of Overwatch 2 after being delayed by a month. This is the Agent and Recruit Run (LVL 1 and 2) for Mercy. I wanted to have the Veteran Run done for this video as well but didn't have enough time to complete it so that'll be released at a later date!

The only thing I dislike about the system is how there is no guidance. You are just expected to know where the coins are and what targets are supposed to go after next magically. My first run is always trying to learn the map layout and figuring out a general route, second run is seeing if it works, third run is optimizing or rerouting depending how that goes. Thank you for this video. It helps a lot!

I do kinda like that you have to figure it out yourself and that it doesn't hold your hand too much. It lets you do things your own way and problem solve which I think is part of the fun of it and then you feel more rewarded when you figure it out

@@SkiestiI think it would be nice if they just had some more relevant tips to help players discover tech if they don’t already know it. Not guidance on how to solve the courses per se, but guidance on expanding your toolkit, ya know? For example, in order to get all the coins in the first section of the Winston Agent course without falling off the map, you **must** know about double-leaping at the beginning *and* end of Primal. It’s just not possible to make it across otherwise. If you want to avoid doubling back to finish kills, you also have to know how to combo the jump pack landing damage with the primal swing. It just seems unreasonable to expect that knowledge without even a hint, on the middle difficulty no less. I dunno, maybe they meant for the loading tip screen to serve that purpose. I keep getting tips for heroes other than the one I’m playing (mostly Tracer), so they’re not very salient, but maybe that’s just a bug?

If you feel any better, I didn’t realize that you could damage boost the bots you rez. So I was out here with my Barbie gun killing everything myself thinking that was the way to do it and only getting four and a half stars on all the courses before I decided to watch this one… So…. I’m dumb too… 😢

Hi, Ski! I didn’t notice on your stream because I was grinding the course at the same time too! Console and PC courses seem different? Like the end of the Recruit course is different (spawn timing and cover pieces for the bots), that of the Agent one too. Just cover pieces and bot placement is lightly different and makes the course pathing quite different. I don’t actually know that this is platform specific but that’s the only thing I can think of. That and maybe a randomised bit of the course for each player to add some difficulty or something idk? I just think it’s interesting lol

What is that glide/jump he does at 0:10? I do the same jump in regular matches, but i don’t get launched straight up like that?! 🤨 I need to build up her ult and return to this beginning area to fly up and grab those 3 he got at the start.

I'm sorry but the routes look counter intuitive af. Sure you get the badges but spreading these that far apart without granting any options for movement makes collecting them feel so awkward. The badges also are making speedrunning un-fun since collecting them is really easy and usually dont allow for much more optimizing apart from routing. Same goes for the Rein stages. With that said just playing through the second stage is fun because you can pre-shoot bots before they spawn and have to pay attention to how many bullets you need if you really wanna play optimally

All the bots on the first one at the last section were always spawned in for me and there was a glass wall in front of the last two boys I don’t understand how that can happen, probably a bug already

i dmg boosted the bot and still cant get full stats score for some reason this is bugged

You have to do a combination of DMG boosting the bots and killing them yourself. Check your stats are the end (hover over them) to see details to know what you're missing

They must have added some barriers - my "recruit" course has them which adds seconds to my runs. Interesting.
