A bug that I experience is that after getting hit into a wall by Doomfist and instantly Ult, the Ult get's cancel'd but also not used..? The Sound and "animation" plays but since you get stunned instantly, also cancels. But surprisingly you get the Ult back, confusing enough? Yes.

the sad thing is that the game is riddled with bugs and just annoying issues and it doesn’t seem like the devs know or maybe even care. like apparently zarya had a bug (i’m not sure what it was since i don’t play her, but i think it was something to do with her secondary fire jump thingy) and the devs didn’t know about it despite it being known amongst zarya players. and lúcio’s wall riding is nearly unusable on some maps because the collision is so sensitive (similar to how it is with mercy in some ways). even kiriko had terrible bugs with her TP until very recently and it made it such an unreliable ability! apparently they had to essentially rebuild the code for that completely? idk. but yeah the bugs in this game are a bit ridiculous especially with characters that rely on these abilities

I feel SO BAD for Lucio players because I know collision messes up wall riding really badly. It sucks on Mercy so I can imagine how annoying it is for them too :( And yeah, they rebuilt the entire code for Kiriko's TP which gives me some hope that they'll fix some of these bugs with GA but I'm sure that's a big task to do

I noticed a lot of these! Particularly the pistol not shooting (especially after ulting), the arc GA, and all the rez ones. I had just assumed i was playing her bad/it was my fault or I was just crazy lmao I only started really paying attention recently bc I got yelled at for rezzing a Hanzo instead of Orisa in overtime when I was CLEARLY looking at Irisa when I rezzed and I got so confused lol

Yeah I assumed the same. It's reassuring to see these issues impacting Ski as well. Mercy feels so fluid when her flight is working, it's easy to blame ourselves for anything causing it to be clunky.

A very annoying bug with Mercy’s GA tech is that if you get booped (or meleed) right before you perform a slingshot. The distance that you travel will shorten DRASTICALLY because GA stops sooner that it should have I play Mercy a lot and sometimes I even see other player taking advantage of this and just melee me right as I’m about to GA away to disrupt my flight (I know they do it on purpose because no one melees unless their enemy is on low health) I hope they notice the bug and fix it. Because it is reaally annoying Thanks Skiesti for making this video! I’m very happy that us Mercy mains have someone like you and Niandra (among other nice people) as content creators ^-^

@@smit_ty6771 Boops should not affect either in this case since Mercy is immune to boops while using GA (before activating any GA tech) So someone booping or meeleing you right before for you GA tech should not affect you (right now it does bc it’s been bugged since launch)

Wow, those rubber banding clips are horrifying. I've boycotted OW2, but I still enjoy watching your videos because I really loved playing Mercy. Seeing her get worse and worse is just so sad. I definitely have encountered a lot of the bugs shown off in this video when I've played Mercy. It's also hilarious that you can get the old cooldown back as a bug in certain conditions. Collisions shown off in the video also are a mixed bag, sometimes it feels like it's your fault as the player, and other times it seems like just poor design. It's super frustrating, but usually can be fixed with a short cooldown, but not when the game either eats your GA, or it's on a ridiculously long CD like it is now.

Im so glad youre raising awareness about these issues because theyve became so incredibly common and clear. Especially the Res one just straight up not registering?? Hopefully blizzard can acknowledge these issues and also try to shift some of her power from relying on sitting back and pocketing a good player to a more mobile and interactive hero

the invisible floor is a thing with everyone, not just mercy best seen with pharah and lucio since they can slowdown midair (be it pharah using her flight or jet boosters or lucio falling but starting to wallride) its REALLY annoying as it knocks the aim off and the sound doesn't help either I have no clue why thats happening

the mercy pistol bug also happens with torbjorns gun, which means it's probably linked to the swapping weapon mechanic. if i had to take a guess, probably happens when you die mid animation

My favorite part of dying because i get caught on a sign while guardian angeling, is that im trapped on the sign making me a sitting duck about to die, the person im trying to get to dies, then i die, and its suddenly a 3v5 because of a mailbox

I don't know a lot about technical things but I'm fairly certain it's related to hardpoints/line of sight checks like how Marblr described in his Cassidy video and latency (client input takes time to reach server, once server receives it, it's denied because, for example, it took too long and a target you planned to GA to isn't in range anymore or is blocked) Or something like that as far as I understand it

the clip at 9:19 (and maybe a few others) reminded me of how often I get stuck trying to go through windows i KNOW i had no problem going through in the past (maybe OVW1, since I think they redid how map geometry interactions work in OVW2 which is why it feels so miserable) and it sucks really bad as they're often the best way to get to cover fast as mercy or retreat from a fight. even big doorways that are off the ground like the ones near the center of esperanza are miserable to try and smoothly glide through unless you manage to perfectly avoid all the walls. sigh

I have a hunch the programming for GA is very similar to LW life grip. As many times you can pull someone who's about to fall off and for some reason they will sink and go to the depths of hell. Or get stuck on billion things.

All the GA rubberbanding plus the inability to rez/catch souls happens to me so so often!! I keep thinking it’s my internet since sometimes I do rubberband but my ping is consistently 15-20 and happens most often on mercy by a mile. Even on other movement hero like tracer and Genji, the rubberbanding barely ever happens unless it’s actually my internet, It’s so frustrating

Half ass the pull or not even take them to where I am and it's super disorienting to see when looking at the over all function. I'm very glad you mentioned doom and genji in the video as well. I would like to say that, as an ana main, sympathetic recovery feels like a buff since I need 4 shots to kill a mercy now instead of a granted 3. Especially when no one else focuses her.

honestly in my opinion as a mercy main, its a buff. The old passive did high more consistency and skill compared to the new one and both have different situations that they shine in but if i can survive ashes dynamite consistently now, its a buff in my books lmao.

Nothing like having my two mains being a bugged mess this season. Sombra's translocator just randomly dying on its own when trying to use it, hack no longer showing ult status, and worst of all, her ult is quite literally just cosmetic if there's an enemy LW Mercy's GA can just decide not to work, rez can just decide not to work, we get pushed more into a hiding and pocket playstyle that nobody likes but it's still somehow our fault This is pain

@@disgracetwt5513 Literally no Mercy has an issue with the damage boost nerf. Actually everyone asked for it, or better said everyone wants a different ability then it, since it's so messy. I'm talking about the inconsistent GA nerfs, which also created a couple of ridiculous bugs, that just mess up Mercys gameplay. The nerf of the support passive adds to that, as it makes it harder to play her as an active unite on the field, what the devs want her to.

I've dealt with the input jitter then GA cancel a ton. Initially I assumed it was my internet but considering nothing else in the game is doing this, I guess it's an actual bug. Kinda annoying. The invisible floor definitely happens too but I actually had no idea that was unintended lmao (this game gets weird changes and I didn't even think of it being a bug). The character is still definitely very viable of course, but I miss the old movement a ton. Less bugs (visible ones at least) and a way more fun playstyle.

I had a bug recently where I tried to fly to my soldier (without any beam connected to anyone) and because an orisa was between us GA wouldnt register at all even tho I had clear sight of soldier behind the orisa and I was close enough to fly, as if orisa was somehow breaking that line of sight

Oh, that's happened to me quite a few times but didn't mention it because I lowkey figured it was to do with GA sensitivity so if your GA sensitivity is high, the GA targeting of the Orisa is too big to fly to the Soldier

GA cancelling itself and pistol shake are the two that happen the most with me. I've been lucky that it usually cancels over land/when im not in danger but the pistol hurts to look at so much that it stops me trying to protect myself in a tight spot, I just cant look at my screen with that thing going mental.

The arch ga can also be caused by using ga as you let go of crouch or by jumping out of a crouch and using ga almost instantly.

Wow I wasn't even aware there were so many 😭 I've experienced a good chunk myself though. The random GA cancels are driving me crazy. Often I thought it was perhaps just me accidentally cancelling it for some reason or misclicking, but turns out it's actually a bug... it's so frustrating. I've experienced the arc-GA too here and there, and it can sometimes cause unintended interactions that can lead to you losing the fight if you're unlucky. And of course all the stupid collisions that shouldn't have been, are making our lives hard pretty much every match. Thanks for making this video Ski! We need to raise some awareness that Mercy is way more broken now than some people think, in terms of bugs. They really need to fix the majority of these over the next few seasons 😡

also did you know that sj itself was never the bug? it was a result of slingshot working perfectly as it was intended to; the actual bug (that is still in the game to this day) is crouch ga, which made superjumping possible

Yeah I feel the pain about the buffs. Start of when she got the triage buff I was so excited to start really maining mercy, like I'd played her on and off, but that season I really played her and my mercy play time almost made it above my Moira playtime(to my be my most played), I spent so long learning her movement, but every season they keep changing it and adding bugs, i don't play her, and when I do it's just wall mercy because I have to.

Love this! Thank you, Skiesti!! Have experienced all of these and they are super annoying. One other bug (?) I have regularly is Mercy's caduceus staff swapping to her pistol randomly and for no reason. At first I thought it was me inadvertently touching the scroll wheel on my mouse so I was extra careful. It still happened. So, I thought maybe it was the mouse or the wheel needed cleaning. Nope. Happened on a perfectly new mouse as well as on a completely different PC. IDK if this is just something I'm experiencing or an actual bug with Mercy's gameplay.

Interesting theory about how it may relate to the McCree bug. I think there is some policy that if server has disagreeing input on where a character is, it will favor the SHOOTER not the TARGET. I wonder if that should be checked for when the interaction is between teammates. Does it favor the HEALER?

As someone who also racked lots of hours on mercy and enjoys playing her, I would say this is legit one of the worst seasons I've played; and I have experienced all these bugs which are extremely annoying and frustrating. First the damage boost reduction (which isn't a big deal coz yeah, it didn't matter a lot with damage breakpoints) and now the support passive nerf AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT ALL THESE BUGS.... I am just shaking my head left and right watching this video, knowing that you dedicated all this time to list these bugs but sadly they will not be fixed anytime soon by blizzard and having your time wasted is just saddening. But know that you're not the only one experiencing this frustration and hoping some bandage fix which will ease the frustration we're going through. I've been attempting aireal rezzes since s3 and I haven't achieved a Single one because For some reason AD stops The soul never stops and falls faster even if i never used AD and i was next to pharah The soul randomly tps to the ground when i start the rez

Hard points are the reason for ga cancellation, I just used Marblr's testing for Deadeye and found a way to recreate it consistantly.

In a sense.. it can be skill issue in regards to collision. If our teammates were more aware of our positioning, we would consistently have proper line of sight to GA to. Also.. if you know the ins and outs of every map corner and you know where it would cause a collision instead of GA to your teammate, then you can avoid it. That's generally what I do to avoid collision and other bugs. I always know to position myself so it won't happen and/or I make callouts asking my teammates for line of sight. With that said.. would make life easier if these bugs were fixed. Mercy needs A LOT of quality of life updates.

You’ve described all the reasons why I haven’t picked overwatch up again. They nerfed her and didn’t even bother to fix her bugs and think she’s fine. She’s not, these bugs happen too often and make her feel just icky to play after the 3 second nerf.

The sticky collision is so frustrating on so many heroes. Wallriding is pretty painful on a lot of the new maps especially, because they tend have bumpier building geometry, and I can’t tell you the number of times my Lifeweaver dash just went nowhere because I clipped a leaf or an enemy’s pinky toe or something.

i find myself playing less and less mercy as seasons pass. through the bugs and them just gutting her movement she's just more unfun for me. id rather play kiriko, illari, ana, or even lifeweaver. it gets infuriating to play her sometimes because of the bugs and how many lives they cost me. i could probably bear through the bugs if you didnt get punished for doing more than fly in straight line to teammate with ga. the 3 second cd feels so bad and its like might as well rub salt in my wound by giving dva a 3.5 sec cd on her boosters, an ability so much better than ga. edit: it is also just the collision change. i hate how it feels to play with it. its so unbearable especially when you get an issue with collision then hit with a bug. id also like to mention that on console, holding rez on mercy activates the angelic descent passive and its actually so annoying. i wish i could fall down fast while holding rez but this is something i cant just unbind or turn off. it doesnt help AT ALL with making mercy feel any better to play lmao

I'm convinced the clip where you get thrown into the depths of hell is a combination of the reverse arc GA and the ability cancelling - your recreation attempts still arc back up at the end. The clip of the match doesn't, it only attempts to when you try to save yourself with a superjump.

i use the cooldown reduction bug and it really helps me a lot. it's better not to talk about this bug, because blizzard will fix it and we will never see the old mercy cooldown again :(

Thank you for making this video! I have experienced most (if not all probably) these bugs and just assumed it was something I was doing wrong. The most frustrating is the random canceling of GA in mid fight, I've been killed so many times because of that one. Hopefully they will patch them soon. (I have little hope)

I don't play mercy much, but the only issue I can say I experienced was incorrect ga targeting, rubber banding in ga, and rez refusing to start and I always thought that was because of my ping.

slants (arch ga's) have been in the game since ow1, so has the ga cancel sj - its just advantageous now that it removes cast time. most of these are parkour tech that if you familiarized yourself with would know how to avoid (please dont take our parkour tech from us).

Bugs I and a friend have experienced: when I go to rez a soul that’s about to expire, sometimes it’ll just expire mid rez, oh and I still get a cool down! Also I like to turn to the side to shield my face when rez- I have never ever had issues with this until recently where it’ll randomly break my rez, just for turning to the side

I've been playing more ana recently, so I haven't experienced all these bugs, but the "landing on the floor" noise when using angelic descent is really jarring. Having ga take you to your beam target instead of facing target has made me seriously consider swapping back to the facing target setting.

the standing in the floor midair bug is not limited to only mercy, and it's client sided, so while the shake and the noise is annoying, it has no effect on what's going on.

If I want to do the old superjump I have to bind crouch to a side mouse button. To pull it off I use left ctrl + shift then release left ctrl at the end of the slide then click the side mouse button to execute the SJ.

This video is very well made it brings everything on point how bugs destroy the joy of playing this character i literally don't know what blizzard wants to do with her like are you done nerfing her already they might as well just bring her to T-pose at this point with how buggy mercy got and thank you for mentioning this 8:30 being childish and making these childish pixel war will not fix the games issues or any character more playable its not annoying to say what takes the fun away from playing her whats actually annoying is being triggered 24/7 by somoene who is just voicing their opinion

one of the reasons i quit playing (when i just started playing ow) was bcs of the gun shaking. it happened to me every other game. it was so annoying and screen shaking would cause me motion sickness. and the worst part is that any time i would try to ping it would switch from beam to gun. I recently started playing again and experienced all of the other bugs you mentioned. And i thought most of them were skill issue, like i just dont know how to play the game yet and thats why they happed. Res cancels are the most annoying imo

bruh sometime when i ga to someone it randomly shoots me backwards resetting my cooldown and throwing much farther away from my teammate. Ive been thrown off the map because of this its annoying as hell.

She’s SO bugged, I’m dying way more often than I should be because my ga will just stutter like the input lag multiple times in a row and even to characters I have perfect sight lines on. I’ve barely been able to bring myself to play and I usually love this game so much , it’s just painful
