I researched mad hard about this rice water and I finally stuck to Yao Women’s recipe. I just wash my rice real good , then I separate the rice from the water and then boil the rice water with some orange peels ( for like 5 mins or so) and then I keep it in a jar and leave it in my cabinet for like a week or two, and my rice water never stinks😩. P.S. I live mine to ferment in a dark cabinet for 2 weeks and then use it when I’m ready to wash my hair and then I prepare another batch to use again in two weeks time 🤗

Progress update - it works! I tried it over 3 months and my hair has increased in length and thickness. I used BLACK RICE and it worked so well. It’s more nutritious. I felt a difference in my hair straight away. I don’t know how or why but it felt thicker! I have also done a comparative length check to show the growth. My advice ... 1) try it! If you try it, use black rice! 2) be patient, and don’t expect results overnight 3) be consistent Let us know how it goes ❤️

However I wouldn't trade it 4 all the tea in China. I do want 2 C what its gonna do 4 noodle naps hair like mine? Now I will try 2 measure it B4 I start it, I also color my hair so I will measure from the color it is now 2 how much new growth I get. How long do U think this process is going 2 take, normally I color my hair every 4 months depending on how much growth I get I will do it sooner. Well we'll C. I'll let U all know when I start. New growth always comes in 4 weeks, you need to show it at 1 week or 2 week so people can see the speed of it. I leave the rice water in for a weeek, applying it daily and the growth is very fast. In just a few days my hair grew almost 3 inches!! I know cause I had just got a hair cut and could not twist my sides or back. I put rosemary and pepper mint and lavender and ylang ylang in my rice water, a leave in conditioner and olive oil lotion. I spray my hair every morning and every night and massage it in. During the day I apply Jamaican castor oil hair growth grease or sulfur 8 grease. My hair has never grew as fast as if has grown in just a few days.

Hey Guys, so I watched a previous video of hers about Rice water and decided to give it a try. Once I saw she added orange peels I said great I can use this without having to smell the water. Immediately I thought I'll let it sit for a few days with the peels because I just can't with the smell. I'm an aromatherapist so I thought why not add a beachy scent to the mix I added 20 drops of lemon essential oil which also helps with itchy hair and 20 drops of lime essential oil. The smell is AMOZING!! and I have seen tremendous growth. I have Knotless braids in right now and the new growth is insane I do rice water about once a week and just use it as a leave in product often times for scalp massage or when I hydrate my hair. An sometimes I just spray and go on about my day.

I do recommend if you’re going to use rice water mix it in with your washing routine so you’re not doing it everyday getting a protein overload. I personally mixed some rice water in each of the products that I use (shampoo,etc.) so I don’t have to spray or make like a whole bottle every time. I have noticed tremendous results and my hair has gotten so much thicker and longer and I’ve only been using it for a month and a half.

Rice water or protein treatments in general are not only for length retention. It also helps reduce shedding and breakage. Her hair grew in the cornrows she did and she had absolutely no shedding while brushing her hair after spraying rice water. Even if she didn't measure length, the health of her hair definitely can be accredited to the rice water and her consistency with doing protective styles and keeping a routine with it. I agree the title can be misleading but there's so much more to learn from the video than how long her hair grew.

I don’t know if this will help anyone but I think doing twists with your natural hair improves its growth. I haven’t done box braids in a year but I left my hair in twists (different sizes) for like 9 months now and my hair has really grown. I never let my hair out like i don’t even know how my Afro looks like anymore 😂 Anyways, I didn’t EVEN moisturise or wash my hair that often(which I know is bad) and it still grew ...so imagine someone who actually did what I couldn’t do (moisturise and wash often) I just think twists promotes hair growth due to low hair manipulation. I hope this helps stay safe sisters and brothers ❤️

The Danielle Denise Yes! I was like “this is a joke”, but I have been using it for 3 weeks (“wash day” only) and I had no shedding in the sink on wash day last week (week 3). It doesn’t hurt to try it. If it doesn’t work for you, then stop. You can get a bag of rice at the Dollar Tree (if you are in the U.S.). 😊

@Babygirlpink1324 жыл бұрын
Amina Animashaun Using the rice water too frequently or fermenting too long broke my hair off 😫 I’m protein sensitive and low prosperity . Baby if it doesn’t work don’t force it, know your hair. My mom an ex beautician, current nurse told me I’m suppose to do it every six months and I was using it every wash day(every week)on top of that I would ferment the rice for a month max or weeks, little did I know it was too strong for my hair and chewed my long hair that was little below mid back to above bra strap length. I had to get my hair cut evenly because it was chewed up so bad. How I recovered my hair was leaving it tf alone! Aloe Vera plant, oil treatments and flaxseed gel in a protective style.

Rice Water works beautiful souls definitely make sure to do a patch test overnight with your hair to see how it reacts to the Rice Water recipe you make. I personally have been using this method prior to seeing this video, fermenting mine longer, and have great results! I use mine as a rinse and leave-in switching up the recipe a bit for each. Stay consistent! Your hair will thank you when it's blowing in the wind! Let's get it Family! 2020 rise! 💞

Hi, Mercy! Thank you for this great video, very informative Recently I started to use rice water again...I add rose water to the fermented rice water, and have heard recommendations to put 1-2 tbsp of avocado oil, to counteract the protein Avocado oil and olive oil penetrate the hair so I’d say those would be great additions 🌹🍚
