So cool to see an interview with Meredith! I was always obsessed with that song in the movie and her beautiful unique voice, I still scream at the tv every Christmas when that part comes up and it’s cut out... so I pause and play then song on KZbin, then continue with the movie hehe.

Literally "the love is gone" was my favorite movie song of my childhood and I am so sad hey have cut it our of many versions. I pause the movie and watch it on youtube every time. I love you.

I have seen countless versions of "A Christmas Carol" on film, television, and the stage. This is absolutely the most affecting version of this scene. Some versions are so flat, but this one leaves me in tears every time.

Disney removed it from the DVD release a few years back. Not cool! The song reminded Scrooge of his vulnerability. Best song in the movie!

25 years later. I was 7 when it came out, Every time I hear it I get so emotional and sad, but it's also so beautiful and lovely. Her voice is just beautiful on it.

they didn't remove it on purpose, see the song was only in the vhs home release version at the time and they didn't have a widescreen hd version of it, so on the second dvd and BluRay release they could only use the theatrical release where it was removed by the producers. on disney plus they have the song as an extra but just at the end of 2020 brian henson said they found the original footage so maybe it will be put back into the movie for this christmas in fullscreen hd glory

Best song on THE greatest Christmas movie.............EVER!! Ive grown up with this played every year. Disney is STUIP to cut it!! I hate the Disneyfication of the world.

Just come back from a live orchestra screening. The movie gets bigger every Christmas. Cutting out this song was an act of vandalism.
