From my experience of studying and teaching Classical Ballet for 2 decades of my life, ensure you keep your head in alignment with your spine. This young man is in amazing shape and executes this most of the time. When bending forward to 90 degrees don’t tilt your head up or down. I’m going to try these exercises as I’m trying to strengthen my body from 12 yrs of chronic illness. I’ve healed about 50% so I can do these exercises while being very conscious of how my body is feeling. My body has worked so hard throughout the past 12 years, it’s very precious and I’ll treat it kindly. Much love to everyone trying to strengthen their bodies!🙏🏻💗

I enjoyed this, the only thing I recommend is that at the end of the different exercises say something about being done, because I don't look at the screen most of the time during the interval, I'm listening because I'm focusing on my posture and balance, then all of a sudden we are going onto the next thing. HAHA! I'll be back for more.
@MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining20 күн бұрын
That's a fantastic suggestion, @mmk08! 🙌 Clear verbal cues at the end of each exercise could make a big difference for people focusing on posture and balance without looking at the screen. It's great that you're paying close attention to your form-such a key part of getting the most out of your workout. Keep up the awesome work, and I hope the next session is even smoother for you! 💪😊

It's great that you enjoy the workout, @NanClarke-l3b! 🙌 For balance issues with deadlifts, try focusing on a spot in front of you, engaging your core, and using a chair or wall for support until your stability improves. You’ve got this! 💪😍

@ I lose my balance and have to touch down with my foot. Any tips?
@MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining20 күн бұрын
To improve balance, engage your core, focus on form, and practice slow, controlled movements with a fixed gaze. Incorporate balance training, strengthen stabilizer muscles, and adjust your range of motion or use light support as needed. I hope this helps. ❤️

On the deadlifts, i don't have enough balance to stand on one leg so would you have an alternative that can be done instead? @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining
@MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining18 күн бұрын
Hi Sarah!👋🏻 If balancing on one leg is tough, try these alternatives: a two-leg Romanian deadlift, where you hinge at the hips with both feet on the ground, or a supported single-leg deadlift using a chair or wall for balance. You got this!💪
