I remember a part during the stand where one of the characters tells grimaldus that the truth is they are screwed. Grimaldus responds by saying the truth is unacceptable and through sheer will power and determination, was a survivor of helsreach. What a fucking chad, truly a glorious warrior worthy of joining the celestial army of the emperor, known more commonly: as the legion of the damned.

I think the first live action movie adaptations from the Black Library should be Imperial Guard, Inquisition, or Rogue Trader focused. We need the Space Marines to built up long before they show up in live action. When they show up in live action, it should be from the point of view of people who have had to deal with the threats of the 40k universe from the point of view of a regular human long enough that you understand how insanely dangerous everything is. Then, when the Space Marines finally show up in a film, you truly understand who capable they are when they start slaughtering those dangers.

Magnificent homage to a character full of gravitas! There's something weird to the Black Templars that touches me further than other chapters do. Old Samurai movies have a similar effect. A sense of sadness yet pride. I can very much appreciate what Grimaldus felt, seing the last Shadow Wolf dying while holding his chapter's standard aloft. No doubt the creation of the fan made visual material is a great treasure. I can totally recommend it!

You gotta love Grimaldus' speech just before the orcs attack the city. They're completely surrounded, hopelessly outnumbered, and everybody is anout to die in horrible screaming agony, but manages to make everyone think they can win so they can at least fight. Morale is such an important factor in any fight.
