Siiiick. One of my favorite shows while living in Baltimore was them playing in the big lot next to the Metro Gallery. Along with the time Future Islands shut down 36th street in Hampden. Aaand Dan Deacon's secret shows all over the city...and Ed Shrader's Music Beat at ScapeScape. I miss that city, man.

I see his eyes moving away from me Oh no, is this another albatross? He knows he holds dominion over me But what I gain is worth the cost We share the cold embrace of cousins I wonder if I've seen him somewhere else before And as I wonder at his ancestry I'm ? by the door And in the telling of the story I lose my way inside a prepositional phrase I read his lips and I see glory But what I hear is "be afraid" So from the fog of every morning Until the heat of day is still I watch the clock as it turns backwards I watch the water run uphill And in the telling of the story I lose my way inside a prepositional phrase I read his lips and I see glory But what I hear is "be afraid" And in the telling of the story I lose my way inside a prepositional phrase I read his lips and I see glory But what I hear is "be afraid"

I know they're entitled to explore different styles, but I really miss Civilian. Shriek is a solid album, but I'm not feeling it as much as I should even though I really want to.
@Sigmundfruit9 жыл бұрын
Apparently they switched styles because their touring schedule was so tight that after it all, the girl couldn't bring herself to pick up a guitar.

Elbereth Gilthoniel I'm trying to get into as well but I'm not feeling it. Debating whether or not I should go see them next Wednesday in LA. Prolly will considering I got nothing else going on that night

Nick Haskell they changed styles because a chokingly tight touring schedule caused them to just get tired of it

How many names would Radiohead have published under if they used a different name every time they wanted to change things up? Or if they "took a break" every time they wanted to make something that wasn't The Bends? Yes, Wye Oak isn't Radiohead but it's just amazing how entitled some people can be.
