@@thermobollocks Not really. There are several unique NPCs you never fight, which means you don't kill them, right? Exhausting the killcounter for each area and getting the nobody came messages simply means that you've killed enough people that the rest flees from your murderous rampage. If you get to Hotland while fulfilling everything for a No Mercy run, Alphys starts to evacuate everyone and you're only killing those who are dragging their feets. If you interrupt No Mercy really late, you get the Neutral Ending and Sans will comment on how the Underground is a lot less crowded now thanks to you, but even then, there are survivors. The game even tracks for you in your menu how many monsters have you killed exactly on a No Mercy run and IIRC it tends to be around 100 on a full run. The Underground is pretty big and is supposedly crowded, 100 monters aren't that many. You only actually kill everyone if you complete the run and destroy the world, otherwise always will be survivors.

Not really, he didn’t really do much aside from Genocide route where it’s guarantee the universe will be destroyed, so he had to intervene. It was Papyrus that moves the Pacifist ending forward by making you befriend Undyne. And then that get you Undyne’s letter and encourage Alphys to go outside. Then Alphys finally have the courage to return the Almagamate to the family. If you kill almost every monster then spare a few then Sans still let you get away, granted he tells you to go to hell but that’s not really a punishment. He’s not a hero in most routes.

I remember years back I was on vacation visiting my dad, I was in my room watching KZbin on the TV and my dad asks what I’m watching, I’m explaining how crazy it is to see somebody beating a boss I struggled with without getting hit, he asked me if it was the game I spent hours on the computer trying to beat, I said yes and he told me that’s really cool (despite my dad never playing or understanding any games) a week later I beat Genocide without saving, and my dad smiled as I explained every detail about a game he’s never heard of, thank you Merg for making that moment special for me

Damn, you did AMAZING. I tried fighting Sans in the bad time Sim online (and died around the end of phase 1), the hardest part isn't just dodging the attacks. It's the prolonged, dragged out nature of the fight where you can't afford to look away even for a second (even when on the goddamn battle menu) and Sans' attacks just keep getting more and more confusing and movement sensitive with time. Phase 2's abrupt cuts get the player thrown off real easy. And the Gaster blaster merry go round attack at the end just makes me go *hoooolyyyy shiiiiit* And the fact that Sans' special attack is literally nothing is a *genius* way to break the 4th wall AND stop the player. Sans is really trying to stall and frustrated you into quitting cuz he knows that even if he kills you you can come back. *So he is trying to kill your Determination* You did impressive, Merg.
