Hey merg, here's a tip to help you, the cards you were reffering to (baller and knight) are actually able to defeat ALL enemies, for the knight card you can defeat flying enemies by grabbing the sword toss card, its located in bizville on the boarded up side of the town (go to bizville, up, then left) as for the baller card, you'll get something for on it in chapter 2, but no spoiler ;)

Btw, once you complete chapter 1 go back to bizvillez there'll be a small hole somewhere, after enough exploration in the hole you'll find the end game content every 10 floors is attributed to a part of the game, 10 for prologue, 10 for Chapter 1, 10 for Chapter 2, and 10 for Chapter 3... So be mindful of spoilers the deeper you go...

PLEASE dont leave the Cure card equipped, the -1 damage stays for the entire fight, even if you dont use the card in battle. Also, its much better to just use items instead of using the card itself, since theres so many free items scattered around the map, and you can buy items if you dont have any Edit: same goes for resurrect, youre not gonna use it to resurrect allies (unless you play with someone else) and youre constantly using sp in your playthrough, so you wont even be able to self resurrect most of the time

I am so glad you continued this, there’s actually a card that helps find bux located in the arcade of East Bizville(there’s also lots of bux in Bizville). There’s also actually a card right to the left of the last room of the caves by the entrance to Roadtown. It allows for 4 damage with the ball. I should also say that cure isn’t the best and neither resurrect, those cards’ uses are situational at best and can be replaced with items. Also they aren’t really worth the decrease in attack. The knights are only annoying because of your decreased attack. Please continue this series as it’s really fun to watch.

Just to explain the buff thing. The number on the top left of the buff symbol is how strong the buff is (For example: 1 = +1 dmg, 2 = +2 dmg etc.) And the number on the bottom right is how many turns the buff lasts (For example: 3 = 3 ingame turns, and infinity = until you attack the enemy). Just saying playing with others in this game makes it WAY more easier. I’ve beaten it alone but after replaying with friends it is so much more easier

Hey Merg, just some advice for the future: 1: When you hit an enemy before you start a battle, you get a damage boost for the first ATTACK and not for the first TURN. You can do anything you want and attack even on the 10 turn and still get the +1 dmg. 2: Take off Resurrect. You are always on low SP and crippling yourself with -1 dmg for a card you don’t use is pointless. Cards like Resurrect and Cure were made for Co-op where some people decide to be the healer of the team. 3: Don’t be afraid to use items. Whenever you are in a tight spot during a battle, don’t be afraid to eat a borger or drink a latte. Hoarding good items just to never use them is a bad habit. 4: Maybe HP and SP finder can be used to heal more AFTER the battle, but they do nothing during it. When you think that a strong enemy ahead (look out for the green things that heal you) change these cards to something more useful like HP+. 5: If you aren’t using a card, just take it off having a couple BP to spare won’t hurt you.

I recommend buying knight card at roadtown. That makes you deal 1 more damage permanently but you need to get sword toss at bizville which is behind some wooden bars at the background. I also recommend getting sp saver so all your sp attacks cost 1 less sp, so power stab would cost 2. You need sword toss because else you will have no way of dealing with flying enemies otherwise. Following this you will be doing 3 damage with the sword and up to 6 damage with the power stab. Also, don't equip cards that deal -1 damage unless you're a support build.

merg you can go to the fishing spot and pull up sharks and whales, which are rare, but heal a lot (go to the front right of the entire room and head down, the npc standing on the right sells u bait, fish by interacting with the fishing rod, it's like the sword attack then sell what items u get back to the npc by clicking the sell button, then the items u wanna sell) (in chapter 3, you can turn them into better items) Edit: Also there are small sound cues to watch for that the training wheels card tells u when to parry, by visual indication. (counter in the game's case, doing it when it's red lands counters/dodges, yellow guards some dmg) You'll eventually know what to watch for and time the counters or dodges to the animations of enemies, so keep practicing! (9:47 for context)

hey merg! i’m gonna put a BUNCH of tips here so if you see this and want to read this, prepare for yapping. the tips are very helpful though, so please just read this anyways!! keep in mind that very little of this game’s mechanics depend on rng. there is rng in cards like lucky start and another card you’ll see later, but it’s not as important as you’d think. keep that in mind for when you play again. first, about attack power and defense, it’s very confusing to figure out initially, so i’ll explain it. if an enemy has a shield icon with a number on it, that is the enemy’s defense, which is how much less damage they take from an attack. for example, the knights have 1 defense, which makes you deal 1 less damage. sword pierces half of an enemy’s defense, and if it’s an odd number, it rounds down the defense, meaning an enemy with 1 defense will act as if it has 0 defense when hit with a sword. you can also gain defense, either permanently using cards like defender or defense+, or temporarily in battle using the charge def card or certain items that you’ll find later. you can lose defense too by getting hit by certain attacks, or items or cards that an enemy has. if you have a sword icon above your stats in battle with a + or - and a number next to it, that’s how much more or less damage you deal with each attack. you can decrease your attack power using cards like cure or resurrect (which is why your attacks were doing less damage), or increase it using ante up. it can also increase or decrease in battle temporarily using the charge card, items, or the first strike bonus. if an attack bonus in battle has an infinite turn timer (like first strike), it’ll only work for the next attack performed. you can only have a minimum of -3 attack power at any time, meaning some attacks like dynamite can deal damage even if you don’t perfectly hit the action command. if you hit an attack’s action command (besides dynamite and something else later on), it’ll deal 1 extra damage, even if you have -3 attack power, it’ll deal 1 damage, UNLESS an enemy has defense. if an enemy’s defense is more than the damage the attack will deal, regardless of action commands (besides ball, that deals 1 guaranteed damage if you hit the action command), the attack will be deflected and the enemy won’t take damage. this also works against you if you have more defense than the enemy attack’s damage, you’ll deflect the attack regardless if you block or not. i think that’s the majority of confusion i wanted to clear up, but i still wanna give you more tips, so i’ll put some miscellaneous stuff here. keep reading, you’re doing well!! :D -you seem to be unsure about the defend/pass ability, so i’ll tell you what it does. on your first turn, the defend ability gives you 1 sp (2 sp with the sp regen+ card equipped), increase your guarding window by 50% (your blocking, countering, and/or dodging timing), and decreases any damage taken by 20% (decimals round down) for one turn. it also skips your second turn, so enemies always attack while you’re defending. on your second turn, the pass ability gives you 1 sp, and does nothing else. not sure how much this will help, but it might eventually! -power stab works the exact same as the normal sword, but it does 2 extra damage. just making sure you know. -there’s another card back in bizville you missed. if you head up to the entrance of the library and go left from there, you’ll find planks next to a “rat man”, with a battle with 4 rats and a card behind them. this is the sword toss card, which lets you throw the sword at flying enemies for 1 sp. it’s useful if you want to use the knight card! -the spiky killbot only shows up once in the 3 chapters the game currently has (the full game will have 8!), and you already defeated it. the bomb isn’t necessary unless you want to clean up a horde of low hp enemies quickly. -remember to use your items! they’ll likely help a great deal against the boss you’ll face soon! and that’s all i wanted to share! i didn’t want to spoil much, but i hope this comment helps you, and i really REALLY hope you see it at all! this took me at least an HOUR to write, so i hope whoever sees this will know something helpful about the game that they didn’t before! also, before i forget, DO NOT THE SUITCASE LADY! you’ll understand in chapter 2! BYEEEE!!!!

The cure/resurrect cards are really good in multiplayer in healer builds but in solo they are basically worthless and give you -1 attack so that is just cutting your damage in half so unequip them 🙏

INFO : - Take of resurrect until a boss fight, all it’s doing is making your sword weaker - Some enemeys are fast, meaning they go before your 2nd turn, some examples are egale, crossbow gaurd, statue, rats, ants, and mosquitoes - Once you beat the king and head back to bizfield, go to BUX merchant in the ally right by the hotel you came out of, BP IS NOT BUX - At bizfield, there is an arcade, inside one of the vending machines is a card that makes sounds when you enter a room with BUX, use shrink and dash to get in for the card - Please buy the “knight” or “baller” card at roadtown, they are the best cards in the game - At bizfield, there is a blockade you can break down to the left of the library for the “sword toss” card, it’s a sword card that can hit air units - There are other weapons to replace your ball/sword cards (slingshot/rocket launcher) at chapter 2 and cheaper ones of the same in chapter 3 - OPION : replace sp/hp finder for safe gaurd card - CHECK BEHIND THE WATERFALL IN ROADTOWN - if you go back to roadtown, if you talk with tim outside the hall you got your id in, he will give you an item that heals 50 hp once used Good luck with the boss of chapter 1. :D
