Here are some tips about this fight: 1.turn on soul hitbox cause trust me the soul hitbox is MUCH MORE GENEROUS than you think making precise attacks like the 1st one WAY easier 2.The frostbite section only lasts about 6 attacks it’s not that long 3.both frostbite and menu bones can’t kill you (also frostbite just deals rapid dmg) 4.hold X on the slippery platforms to completely stop slipping off the platform 5.Manipulate is only to get some funny easter eggs

I think the thing with the indicators is that a large number of them seem to not be very helpful unless you’ve already seen the attack that they act as indicators for. Because not only do the indicators not always give a properly intuitive idea of what is about to happen, but a lot of them appear a tenth of a second before you’re expected to react to dodge the attack they’re serving as indicators for. A couple of them even seem to appear too late to where if you haven’t already reacted by the time the indicator shows up, you’ll just get hit by the attack anyways. Indicators would be more helpful if the attacks were difficult to react to solely because of their speed, but the attacks of this fangame are difficult to react to because of their speed _and primarily_ because everything you need to react to happens nigh-instantly after you just got past something else you were supposed to react to. So because you dodged bone group #1 without knowing and considering what bone group #2 or gravity trick #1 was about to do, seeing the tiny “!” of an indicator and hearing the “Ding!” doesn’t mean squat because you’re already positioned wrong from dodging the first attack and you’re _going to_ get hit anyways. If you’re in the air when any of the indicators happen, you are just screwed. Compare that to the original Sans fight, which is deliberately designed to where you can’t easily be forced or led into a position where you have no choice but to take a bone to the skull. You’re definitely led to particular places in the Bullet Box to dodge attacks, but it’s not easy to get hit by a bone that wasn’t onscreen yet because you were dodging a different bone that was. And I get it. Difficulty, higher LV Sans, and he’s _seeerious_ this time, yada yada. But still.

Since you seemed confused about it, that flashback attack seems to use your health as a percentage rather than a value. You still have roughly the same amount of health even though your health increases, and then returns to normal afterwards.

I got this one after seeing your first video, and man you make it look easy Merg. Its incredibly difficult, when I first made it to the frostbite mechanic I died because I panicked at what would happen if it filled up and got hit by menu bones :/ Congrats on getting that far though Merg! I’m happy that I found out about the act 1 release through your video, I’m both very scared yet excited to try this out for myself since I beat their first game a while ago. The new mechanical additions definitely throw a new angle on the difficulty compared to the game previous, and has already revealed some understandable frustration It’ll be interesting to see where they go with this as time progresses. Despite present difficulty, the art style hits amazingly and it will be an exciting new challenging experience throughout. Of course the difficulty mixed with art style makes these games memorable. The team definitely deserves their props Great video as always man 🖤

Yeah this is a really tough first act. The indicators are nice, but in order to beat Sans you basically gotta memorise each attack (No duh) Most attacks are no-hittable, especially the beginning ones, but you gotta lock in. To be able to have a chance at the final stretch even at normal you gotta atleast have half hp on half point without using items or using atleast one. Considering you're the cherry you should be fine. I couldn't beat Sans on normal though, I barely managed to do it on beginner. This fangame is seriously next level, but its not as bad as other fangames.

honestly im just waiting for a fangame where its very deep into multi genocide routes and sans committing genocide routes to attempt to stop another genocide and then one of the resets instead of being forced to do genocide like in lots of other fangames, you get to choose to either do the genocide again and its same thing whatever, or you can actually just do pacifist and then sans is considered the villain and hes just extremely confused

hey merg, this is unrelated to the video but i think you should really check out the outertale genocide route (when you're able to of course) since i recently made it to the last boss fight and honestly the whole route was so much more unique than the normal genocide route in undertale so i personally think you would enjoy it a lot im just suggesting though, if you dont feel like playing it then thats fine too lol

Well well well, doesn't this game look gorgeous. There's just So Much *s h a d i n g* Anyway, day 535 of asking Merg to play Crosscode BTW, Crosscode also has some beautiful art. The devs said it is retro-inspired 16-bit style, and many people seem to share that opinion. Those graphics are highly consistent across the continent, despite massive differences in places you visit.
