The point Meri is trying to make is that Robyn and Kody from the start, tried to rewrite history. Robyn literally had paintings made of Kody with Davids kids. She erased David from their lives as best she could. Kody has been reinventing stories in his head about his original wives. Hes made them out to be evil, temptress types that "fooled" him into marrying them and that because it was all a result of something "fraudulent", he could justify abandoning them all for a do-over with Robyn. They've both said they're soulmates (HE SAID THAT ABOUT MERI THOUGH TOO) and should have been together from the start. They went about erasing the others from their very presence and told themselves BS while doing it. Kody loved his wives. PERIOD. The marriages became work and he simply wanted "easy" - he admitted as much. He wanted out. And ROBYN needed him to be ONLY devoted to her, needed to hear she was his one and only. Meri is pointing this out. ... that Robyn was TEN. In their RIDICULOUS FANTASY... there is NO world in where they could have been together from the start. Robyn was NEVER in his plan. He was a polygamist man, they marry young and gather up as many women as they can. SHE CHOSE MONOGAMY. It COULDN'T have happened any other way than it did - with her being wife #4. Kody DIDN'T EVEN WANT HER at first. He was grossed out another man had touched her - hence why she had to erase David from ALL of their lives - incl his children. To make Kody happy, love her completely and for her not to feel "icky". If they were "destined," they each would have had a testimony that they should remain SINGLE until they met. I think Kody IS going through a midlife crisis with one reason being burn out. All men think having 4 women to bed would be a great thing, but the reality is exhausting- especially as they age. I think Kody has an undiagnosed mental health issue. If you recall, his Father wasn't a very nice man either. I'm not talking negative about mental health sufferers just saying undiagnosed people can wreak havoc on their lives and the lives of their family members.
