This is my quarantine project! I just adopted a black chow chow that looks like a bear (named Ellie after Eleanor)and she inspired me to dress as Merida so I can take a photo with her!!!

I'm planning to cosplay Merida for Awesome con with a few friends who are also going to be disney princesses and we just came up with the idea today so I'm hoping to find a costume and maybe a wig, it depends cause my hair is curly and kinda long just not red, its dark brown so I'm hoping I will be able to accomplish that in time! :)

Ahhh you hit the jackpot with Ebay wigs! I ordered one that I thought would be great, but when I pulled it out the length and everything was good but the actual texture was plastic and almost looked like twine? really weird. hoping I can find one like yours!

Yes! Finding wigs anywhere are tough. This video was made years ago, so I'm not sure if that link to the wig is even still available. I would recommend to search on actual wig sites like Arda-wigs.com and EpiccosplayWigs.com. Good luck!

I ordered a wig from Ebay for Merida and It was not like the picture, too short /: I did see the listing for the one you got and I didn't want to order it because I didn't think it looked nice. But after seeing your review of it I just bought it and I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :)

OMG! My fingers are crossed, yes I love this wig, and its my second merida wig. Her wigs get pretty tangled so take good care of it. Let me know if you like it!

The ebay link you posted is for the wig you showed? I didn't really want to buy it because it didn't look anything like what I wanted, but yours looks so nice!

What pattern did you use for the cape? It's so pretty 💖

It's a discontinued pattern. I would suggest to use McCalls M7886 cape pattern instead.

What was the pattern you used for the Cape? I can’t see the name of it in the video

Honestly, not too sure. But the new McCall's M7886 pattern would be a good fit for this instead.

Hi, when I opened the link you put up it doesn't really look like your wig in the video, was this the case? Did it look really tight with curls for you too and you just sorted it a bit?

Hi YES! That's the one, I know it looks different but I took a gamble with it and it paid off. I wanted the curls tight because I knew they would fall and all I did was take it out of the bag and shake it. No styling involved other than pinning some strands.

Jedimanda Yeah, I bought it! But I live in Scotland so it will probably take a while so I hope it works out. Thank you for this video. I liked this wig best because it wasn't so, so bright, it's like a realistic real life version of her hair. Thank you for the video!

Jedimanda hi. Jusy got my wig and it's brilliant. Thank you foe the recommendation! I fiddled about a little more than you because I'm going as a more cartoon like verson of Merida. So I got a brush, comb and some detangle spray and went to town on making the curls more bug. I also got some orange hair spray to have some orange glow but kept mostly to the colour of the wig and also got some red ink to add in the little red bits Merida has. The quality of the wig is amazing. Really glad I watched your video. Thank you again! (Anyone who is buying the wig. The curls are quite tight with like a wax fo control. Would be absolutely fine just out the bag for a realistic Merida or poof it out if you want to go a bit more cartoony. Either way you can work it well to what you want.)

Hi, I clicked the link to the wig you have, it's amazing and I was going to buy it, but it says the bid has ended and I can't buy it, hey have another one by a different seller with the same pictures as the one you linked, but I'm afraid that if I buy that one it won't be the same, it's also cheaper than the one you linked and I'm so afraid it's gonna be crappy, should I buy it?

It will probably be the same pretty much. It's a standard wig. I'd go for it if it is around the same price. But if it's cheaper. I'm not sure, I'd go for it though!
