Today, we sit down with Soren Aldaco, a 21-year-old woman and detransitioner who is suing her former doctors for a botched mastectomy and other medical malpractices. Soren began identifying as transgender at just 11 years old, began hormone replacement therapy at 17, and had a double mastectomy at 19. Soren was prescribed all these treatments despite numerous mental health conditions and traumatic life experiences. How did this happen? Soren discusses her entire story and the failures of the medical system that left her "permanently disfigured."

I’ve had a double mastectomy, for breast cancer. It’s horrifying, like living in a body horror movie. 26 inches of scars, feels like wearing an iron bra 24 hours a day. Scars from drains, hypertrophic scars, lymphedema under my arm. This all only from the mastectomies. If someone didn’t have a mental disorder before a double mastectomy I can guarantee they will have one after. I cannot believe that doctors are doing this to girls, young women upon request. A drainless double mastectomy?!?! These doctors need to be sued into oblivion

This may sound silly, but I'm convinced that one helpful thing would be to refer to these surgeries by proper medical terms. I've heard girls/women refer to getting "their top surgery." NO. You are not having top surgery performed, you are having a bilateral mastectomy. I think that the terms that are being tossed around minimize the procedures and make them sound like no big deal. Far too many people are falling victim to this indoctrination, medications, and ultimately surgery without adequate evaluation. Even something as simple as a time delay between initial request and initiation of medication or surgery has been shown to markedly decrease that number of people who continue to desire these interventions,

We had a perfectly good practice of transitioning once & not that long ago. It took at least two years of weekly psychotherapeutic analysis, during that time you would begin hormones once you had demonstrated that you were living 24/7 as the opposite sex. It was only after that two year period that you began serious discussion about mastectomies, hysterectomies, castration, vaginoplasty, & phalloplasty or metoidioplasty. Now it only takes one 10-20 min visit with a gender affirming therapist & a medical doctor at a gender clinic or hospital & you can walk out of the office that same day with puberty blockers for teenagers & cross-sex hormones for 17 year olds or older. With promises from those so-called medical professionals that changing their sex was the best choice for them.

I totally agree! My mil had a mastectomy to treat her estrogen dependent breast cancer. They had to take out part of the muscle tissue under her arm also. She has pain weakness and really intense shaking with that arm and hand. It was very traumatic! It is not something anyone would do voluntarily if they had seen what my mil has gone through. People need to hear the truth about these procedures and possible prognosis.

I am 32 years old. I am so grateful to God that I wasn’t deceived. 20 years ago I would have been a target for the LGBTQ + movement. I was, and still am, more of a “tomboy”. I remember telling my parents at the age of around 10 that I wanted to be a boy. I just didn’t like girl stuff. When I was a teenager my parents went through an ugly divorce. I was already embarrassed at the way my body was changing. So the divorce and teenage changes made me a very insecure person. I am so glad I went to a country school and lived in a time before all of the propaganda started to peak. My friends and I also had flip phones. This was also right at the very beginning of social media. I had a MySpace.😂 To try to keep it short, I’ll just say that God saved me at the age of 19. Though still not what society would call “girly”, I am now comfortable in my femininity. I am so fulfilled at being a Christian, woman, stay at home house-wife, and homeschool mom of four kids. I still like to fish and get all dirty from outside work, but I also now love to get clean and put on makeup for my husband and take care of our home. Time and the Gospel changed me.

I completely agree with you, but please don’t lump the LGB into the same category as the TQ+. I have many gay friends (male and female) who despise this movement just as much as anyone else, including myself. Decades of gay activism has been destroyed by this quasi-religious belief of “gendered souls”. Those gay activists (LGB) would be turning in their graves if they knew what was happening in today’s society. :(

I grew up in the 70s and 80s when the main psychological affliction of girls and young women was anorexia. It’s interesting to me that the roots of anorexia and transgenderism for girls seem to be similar. The desire to not grow up. To remain a prepubescent child when life was simple and safe. The only difference is that anorexia was treated as a mental illness while transgenderism is affirmed and even encouraged. It shows you that the cultural interest is not in the health and well-being of young women.

It took me many years to truly understand what led to my anorexia. Thankfully it did not wreck my health too badly but 30 years later, I'm still working through the trauma that led to it (using the word trauma was actually very difficult because I have spent most of my life convincing myself what happened to me was not trauma and wasn't that bad).
@The1andonlyhbomb

This whole assertion makes absolutely no sense. Anorexia is caused by a lack of control in one's own life and being transgender is caused by genetic differences. It's not hard to find this if you do actual reading. In a sense, hating trans people and being anorexic is very similar in a way because both are caused by societal misogyny. You seem to be preoccupied with both.... So I'm guessing you have experienced anorexia and are upset with feeling that you have no control in the world. Ironically, staying a child would make this pathology worse because that would mean giving up control in your life. Hence, your theory is ass backwards

I also wanted to share something I witnessed first hand. My friend's daughter had 'decided' (although she later revealed that she had been highly coaxed/pressured into it) that she was no longer a girl while she was in highschool. The school counselor set her up with some doctor whom she went to see without a parent. At the time my friend had been working out of the country and his daughter lived with her mother, from whom my friend had separated years earlier. So he wasn't able to have a great deal of communication with his daughter. (Something he admitted he highly regretted and realized that was a huge mistake). Anyway she said she went to this doctor and he says something like "So you want to transition to a boy?" She said she started to respond with "Well I'm not really sure what I'm feeling, and I just have some questions." But she didn't get all that out. She said she got out "Well I'm" and he cut her off and said "Okay we'll start you out on these puberty blockers and hormones. Then after a short bit we can get you set up with transitional surgeries" etc. She said it was almost instant. He didn't ask her squat. Just a sort of poof "here's these drugs and we'll get moving on this. So happy for you. Next patient please." (Obviously that may not be word for word. But it was something very close to that. I'm only relaying what she told me). The next day at school the teachers were telling everyone "Class we have a new student. I'd like you to meet" and then used the new name she had come up with. A name which she said she had told only the counselor at the school, and a couple close friends but had told her friends not to tell anyone yet. Which they hadn't. My point being that the counselor and teachers let everyone know basically without her knowledge or consent. But since she was getting all this attention now and everyone putting her on a pedestal, telling her how she's a hero and so brave, etc she just ran with it. The school had already changed her name on all her records, overnight mind you. Neither parent was notified of any of this. She said she only took the pills a few times over the first week and then just lied and said she was taking them because she didn't like the way they made her feel. I should also point out her mother is, let's just say not the best parent. There's some substance abuse issues and other stuff going on with her unfortunately. But she was all for this transitioning thing. So fast fwd about six months and she realized she didn't want to do this and was just going to be a girl as she has always been. The school told her that it would be very difficult to change all her records and how she's going to have to fill out all these forms, and worse of all how, get this, how "She's letting a lot of people down and they're not sure why she would want to do that to her fellow classmates." Smh. Remember they changed all her records overnight, basically without hers or her parent's consent. But deciding not to go through with it obviously pissed them off. THIS is what they're doing to these kids. Sorry this was long but if you read it I'm sure you can see just how insanely wrong this was. Her friends by the way had no problem with her deciding that she was in fact still a girl. It was the school that was really pushing this. Let that sink in for a bit. Oh, and she said that she wasn't the only student this had happened with. Some kids they basically told "You can't detransition until after the school year." Mind you some of those kids hadn't done anything more than start telling people they were the opposite sex. But when they changed their minds the school basically told them "Nope. You don't get to go back." Insane. Utterly insane. And evil. Thank God she's back to normal and doing well and graduated last year. But the teachers and counselors were not nice to her at all. They used to be. But not anymore.

She is trying to make it all sound OK and not acknowledging how she was horribly mistreated her whole young life by those who were supposed to be putting her needs first. She retreated into seeing herself as super intelligent and able to jump into the adult world to escape. She needed lots of love and self-compassion. Instead she became a toy of the medical world.

I don’t think it’s that black & white. Almost nothing is. Gender dysphoria is real. Just like body dysmorphia is real for people with eating disorders. But it isn’t common and when I say it is real, I mean it is a real disorder. It does require treatment. And sometimes the best treatment is to transition. But that should only ever happen after proper diagnosis by professionals who do not have an agenda and after less invasive treatments are attempted. And most importantly, it should only ever be made available to adults

I told my mom, I didn’t want boobs and was more self conscious of my more womanly body and knew people were looking at me differently. I am of the opinion that the Hospitals / Dr's went a long way towards killing my Dad when they force hospitalized him for his Emphysema, while in the Hospital he caught a very virulent strain of Staph infection that they never could get control of ,which he certainly did NOT have prior to his hospitalization. In his already weakened state he could not fight it off .Anyone going in for unecessary surgeries are exposing themselves to serious risks they dont even know about.

Michael Knowles did a good explanation on this. Essentially, the argument is that this is the logical conclusion if you follow the thought experiment of teaching this generation that men and women are interchangeable. What started with the LGB of "marriage" being extended to woman/woman and man/man, where one party always ends up role-playing some gender role - it would extend to one party eventually believing they actually can "transition" in the role-play and live in this state permanently (i.e., the next step of interchangeability).

I don't know how more doctors aren't being sued for lying about the permanent long-term effects that these drugs they are giving children have. They're lying to the kids and parents both and telling them that there are no long-term effects. I've never seen anything quite like it in my life. You have people that will sit and pick apart other medical advice and find one little thing that could be perceived as a lie, but they'll let go when doctors straight up lie about everything when it comes to puberty blockers and hormones for children like it's no big deal.

Soren, I love that you asked for prayer. I will keep you in my prayers to Jesus. It's amazing that Jesus is God and yet He makes Himself available to us. In Psalm 147:3 it says He (Jesus) heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. I think it's interesting that you bound yourself right around your broken heart and then drained the wounds there as well as you tried to heal yourself by changing the exterior that is merely a tent that hosts who you are. Now I'm praying you will let Jesus miraculously bind the things that put you in bondage and heal the wounds that drove you to transition. Jesus loves you is not just a Sunday School slogan. He loves you Soren, and He created you. Talk to Him - He's listening. You were created with a plan and purpose by God Himself! :) I think this passage will resonate with you Psalm 139:1-18 1. You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. 5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand- when I awake, I am still with you.

What is this issue with girls being tomboys? So what, we love outdoors, explore mechanics or whatever. We all have different interests and abilities. We liked to run free and use our imagination and that makes us a boy? What crap. I was a tomboy and still liked to dress up and being a girl was what I was even if I could could catch frogs and snakes. My parents were not worried, I was not worried about my gender, but then we did not have iPhones and the internet which is a rabbit hole of disasters. I felt feminine even when sloshing through streams looking for frogs, it was my interest in nature, it had nothing to do with my gender. I am 67, growing up outside was normal, too bad children today do not seem to have that option, parents need to bring back outdoors and toss the video games and much less internet.

Being 65 with children ages 46, 40 and 29 I had no idea how all this transgender stuff began since it all occurred after my children were raised. It is a sad chapter in our history that children have been manipulated, brainwashed, emotionally and mentally abused and manipulated during such confusing periods of their lives. Also interesting that it appears from things related by trans individuals over and again that gender identity is not the issue but rather other mitigating circumstances within the home/school etc which have caused emotional dysfunction. It is never ok to take such drastic physical action such as removing body parts without first exploring all the dynamics within a child's life.

I've lived under this cloud for 34 years but for 34 years I've enjoyed being whole and keeping both breasts. I cannot fathom any morally sane, ethical surgeon amputating a young women's healthy breasts. The whole process has been incredibly traumatic, even with reconstructive surgery. This is an absolute nightmare and should be a crime with serious jail time. Any hospital administrators approving such surgeries should be criminally charged as well.

Thx for the warning…..I think the reason it was so hard is the sadness I have for her confusion and what we as parents expose our own beloved children to because of our own brokenness….and how the cycle continues in her exposing her younger sister to it as well. The industry is destructive and being advanced by our community mental health orgs, govt schools, greedy docs, and even apostate churches. It just illuminates so clearly how the enemy’s plan is indeed so vile, alluring and destructive when we live in ignorance to God’s word.

What the peddlers are doing to our children is criminal. Almost ALL kids are uncomfortable in their bodies, and have crazy ideas and want / need attention this in No Way means that they should be given hormones and encouraged to be somebody different. How about we start helping, truly helping but not by drugging. Get them off the social media, care for them, spend time with them, hug them and tell them NO you aren't trans, you can't change your sex or gender. My double mastectomy bled out 16 hours after my surgery. I was in hospital thankfully. I'm a SCI and experienced the worst autonomic dysreflexia from it. I had 4 of the largest wound evacs put in for 6 weeks. They should've put in drains.

Soren, thank you for your courage - you are saving countless lives by sharing your story. It's not easy to speak up and you are a voice for those who can't. Keep fighting and know that you are loved and supported.

This is why so many of us older gay people shudder at the concept of all these life altering surgeries.. we remember the gender non conforming behaviours as a child, and depending on when you grew up, society and popular culture could really give you serious psychological issues in regards to them. When I was young, I wanted to wear anything that was shiny or sparkly... if it had been 1955, I would have been made to feel like a FREAK, if it had been 2021, I would have been told I was TRANS! Luckily, it was 1975, and since half the men on TV were dressed like a disco ball, I didn't have any complex about it whatsoever. Even pure, mormon Donny Osmond was on tv in PURPLE SEQUINS. I would play Charlie's Angels on the playground with 2 other female friends... you think that someone today would not be trying to transition me, after seeing me on the playground pretending to be Kate Jackson?

Soren, a very intelligent interview. Thank you, please continue to speak the truth. You articulate the situation so well; I like that you don’t blame your parents and grand parents, you are very loving: sometimes we just try our best and it’s still a mess for a child. You treat your family with love and kindness, and so you will continue to tell your story with love and respect. Your story is important to be heard before so many more lives are lost. I listen to Father Spitzer U tubes: he is extremely upset about this transitioning subject. He says many countries in Europe like England have stopped all gender therapy because they saw the horror of “medical malpractice.”
Benny Hinn's nephew confirms the worst. Here's our interview.
