Perhaps the best color.combo merida i have ever seen

"Flickable" is a term we may want to borrow from the motorcycle industry. The lowered seat stays, & stiffness you described make the bike lean, & over quicker & steer that much faster. It sounds dope, I might want an aero bike soon.

I bought a 4000 2021 in Japan yesterday and it is in the McClaren team colors like that one (105 with FSA Gosamer Cranks). Its very nice and not twitchy like my Canyon Ultimate. I will have to ride a little more to comment on the ride comfort but it seems just about right with the feedback so far. Was looking forward to see the Canyon Aeroad but when I saw its half baked cable routing for the affordable models I lost interest. Had no problems with my seat post. In a very short time I decided to sell the Ultimate.

Very nice bike. Will take merida reacto next year instead of waiting for canyon who never ever gonna launch the new aeroad. Also it's way cooler than the leaked aeroad.

I have the third generation one (previous to this) I'm glad they finally hid the cables. The seat post on mine comes out easily but you have to fully remove the clamping system instead of just losening the bolt. My number one question is: Did they change the BB on this generation? It's my biggest grievence with my Reacto and the only reason I wouldn't buy another.
@RoadGravelBike4 жыл бұрын
It's still a press-fit BB. BB86 I believe

What's bad about 386EVO BB? Mine is fine. No alignment issues, silent, smooth. Like any other, it can drag because of too much axial preload or too thick a stack of spindle spacers.. Also found that I need to pull out seatpost clamp to adjust, but the upside is that it is very secure. Cables can be shortened and rerouted, the big loops on the stock setup are ridiculous. Exposed cables are way easier to maintain than hidden cables. Debatable whether the minor performance and aesthetic benefits are worth the hassles. Overall I think the third generation version, especially with the more forgiving ride and higher stack of the CF2, is a better choice for most. Especially if you want rim brakes. I'm delighted with mine!

How do you find the comfort on longer rides?
@RoadGravelBike4 жыл бұрын
@@Mububban23 it was ok, but that is judging it on my local roads that are pretty poor. I'd get tyres with a higher thread count if it was my bike though. I found the Contis to be quite harsh

I don't understand their business model in terms of colour schemes. They literally sell the same frame but in different colours depending on components. I wish they would just let customers pick the set up.

Beautiful bikes coming out now - I am struggling however to see nearly any difference between brands in design......they all look the same, no difference. Is Giant making all of these? 😬
