Merida Reacto I original Teambike I Team Bahrain Victorious I 2024 I Matej Mohoric I

We visited Team Bahrain Victorious in December while the new bikes for the 2024 season were being assembled. When team mechanic Zarko Postic built up one of the Merida Reacto bikes for Matej Mohoric, we grabbed the camera so you can witness in detail how the bike is assembled and the components used. We also brought along a scale, and all component weights are listed below.
The Merida Reacto is renowned as one of the fastest bikes in the professional peloton, making it a perfect match for Matej Mohoric, one of the fastest descenders. Remember his kamikaze descent at Milan San Remo 2022, securing him the victory. Mohoric already claimed victory in a similar manner during the second stage of the Volta Valenciana in 2024, possibly on this very Merida Reacto. Enjoy the video.

Wir haben im Dezember das Team Bahrain Victorious besucht, als dort die neuen Räder für die Saison 2024 aufgebaut wurden. Als der Teamechaniker Zarko Postic eines der Merida Reacto Räder für Matej Mohoric aufgebaut hat haben wir für Euch die Kamara gezückt. Wir hatten auch eine Waage dabei und haben alle Komponenten für Euch ausgewogen, alle Teile mit Gewichten sind in der Beschreibung. Das Merida Reacto gilt als eines der schnellsten Räder im Profi Peloton und passt perfekt zu Matej Mohoric, er ist einer der schnellsten Abfahrer, unvergessen seine Kamikaze Abfahrt bei Mailand San Remo 2022 die ihm den Sieg einbrachte. Mit ähnlicher Manier konnt Mohoric 2024 bereits die zweite Etappe der Valenciana Rundfahrt gewinnen, vielleicht war es genau mit diesem Merida Reacto. Viel Spaß mit dem Video.

I own the exact model but without the team colours and although I do enjoy the bike and most cyclist wants to check it out, I believe it's important to mention that in my bike the Metron 5D bars do not sit perfectly the same way it's shown on the racing bikes. It looks wrong but I was told by Merida that that is how it should be. Overtime I forgot about it but just be sure to check it before you buy it. Also, the bottom bracket option available to me is not easy to find. Believe me when I say. It was a nightmare to find it and I ended up using a down converter that introduced a crick that I hate but again, I don't hear it anymore even though it's there. Geometry is fantastic and very comfortable.

Now ain't this a breath of fresh air...,im old school at age 56 & weigh in at 218lbs ( 98kg ) i own a 2021 Reacto 4000 disc black matt & gloss paint job with silver name brand decals..., swapped out the stock saddle & went for the Specialized carbon 3D printed job., last year November i upgraded to the Ultegra 9020 full hydraulic groupset from the stock 105 hydraulic group set that came with the bike., got myself a set of Prime's BLACK EDITION 50mm carbon rims set with 160mm Ultegra roters all encased in Continentals Gp5000 beaded clincher 28mm tyre's..., im not a professional bike rider that has thousands of pounds worth in sponsorship deals left, right & centre but been a life long bike rider from age 3/4 to my very first road bike build at age 12 in 1979...,If i seriously want to i could go all out & get myself a £10k plus elite road bike but in me i can't justify that that's why im more than happy with my current bike & upgrades that i have made over the 2 years..., 👊🏾👍🏾

Amazing bike! A bit on the heavy side for a pro bike, but Reactos are not known for being light. I have the 6000 model, with ARC1400 wheels and the same Vision 5D ACR handlebar that we can see on Matej's bike and mine weighs 8.8 kg Still, it is a great bike, very rigid, responsive and stable , plus it is relatively comfortable for an aero bike.

Has anyone found clean solution to do it. Maybe in this video they use adapter for 160 or 180 mm disk and use 140 or 160 disk.

@@uodizz no, they using custom washers. Check 5:23. I've created a custom plate from a 3mm aluminium.

For rear caliper yes it looks like they use spacer but front looks to me just simple flat mount adapter. Would be interesting to see how yiur solution looks. I thought to do the same just couldn't find black aluminium to make it look nice.

As a former shop mechanic, there are ups and downs in bike building. Every frameset varies greatly in build complexity, alongside the components used. Some are a breeze, while others can be a real pain.
