Meridian 341 Spring Commissioning

It’s a yearly ritual when boating in New York. Sanding, bottom painting, waxing and maintenance. It’s all needed before the big boat splash for the summer season at Shady Harbor Marina in New Baltimore, NY for our 2006 341 Meridian sport bridge “Happy Ours”. We tackle some necessary spring boat commissioning projects, change our zinc anodes and check out what others are up to in the boat yard. Enjoy!

If you don't already, put some lock-tite thread locker on those anodes bolts that attach to the screw shafts. That may hold them in place under high RPM's. Looking good!

The West Marine CPP paint worked great! No barnacle at all at end of season.

Great job Captain it is a lot of work but it's worth it and what I love about your boat is that you have a Stern thruster most boats don't have that tandem makes it easy to dock your boat in a marina

Hey Tom, we talked before, I have an 06 341 meridian as well in NH. What are you running for oil in your 6.2's. 25w40?

Do you replace heat exchanger anodes and/or water pump impellers with your spring regiment?

I go 3 years between impeller changes as a general rule. Which heat exchanger are you referring to? The 6.2 Mx engine heat exchangers do not have anodes that I am aware of. The Koehler generator does. I just replaced the gen anode last year. I only had the boat 2+ years so not sure how often that is needed yet. I’ll check it again this summer.
