Dear Paul - it was a pleasure to see my soap again in your video, your description of the soap is precise . I am not overdose with the mint cause I have some sensitive skin men clients using it . It is very nice of you to support small business like mine :) I wish you the best Hila

Learned to shave with my Dad’s old Gilette slim. He handed it down after switching to a twin blade in the 70’s. I’ve always kept it although there were years when I could hardly find blades for it. The internet has made that easier. More recently I was given a Future. Those are my favorite razors. In spite of the aggressiveness of a Futur I like to pair it with a Feather and dial it back to a less aggressive setting. That Feather will still cut. Well, thanks for another nice video. Shaving is a very personal activity. Thanks for sharing it with us. Makes me look forward to seeing you twice a week or more.

Hi Paul, nice shave once again. Lovely flowers again Mrs H thank you.. I had a nice delivery today, Mitchell's wool fat in ceramic bowl, Progress Vulfix 404 mixed badger & boar brush and to top it off a bottle of Blue Stratos eau de toilette, my first ever aftershave that I bought.. Happy day's... And my Birthday is just around the corner on the 13th. I sense a new razor on the way.. Thanks again Paul, never get tired of watching your videos.. See you soon my friend take care:-)

Good evening Paul! Splendid floral arrangement Mrs. H! I am so excited you are using that vintage Gillette Super Stainless again..wow, 4th use and it seems to be just as pleasing to you as the first use. No Turkey dinners on July 4th. Perhaps Turkey burgers...some folks. Normally, it is steaks, hot dogs, bratwursts, hamburgers, BBQ pork, etc. Cookout foods. What I like about that Spoiler blades, you can shave and they don't irritate or give you weepers unless you try very hard to that very thing. Gillette state they long knew how to obtain the perfect edge on their blades. They also said that they needed a better coating to make it glide with no plucky pulling. I think they nailed the cutting edge and coating with the spoilers. Another sublime shave Paul. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

Congratulations on a shave well done, Paul. I used my Hila Soap for a shave last week. Your video moved me to put it front and center for tomorrow's. What's special about the soap is the soy wax. I've seen it nowhere else. I always check to see if Hila has come out with a second scent. None yet, but we're still waiting. The Spoiler seems well named.

It's so true that the 4th's for 'Que. And dogs, burgers, corn on the cob (woops, sorry, maize), baked beans, sweet potatos, and such (such as apple pie and ice cream). All turkeys are safe here until Autumn. (Then, yum!) If the Spoiler made the Futur less aggressive than usual, I'd be curious to know how many more uses it gives. The feedback in the video sounds the way my blades do when they've got at most one use left, but the Spoiler is for sure a very good blade, and it would be interesting to know whether it goes longer. BTW, the last two days I've gotten two spectacularly good shaves, one each with a pair of cropes, Cella and Connecticut Yankee. Any possibility of a review of each or either?

A tip for green fly, if you can't use insecticides: My great nan used to pour the used cold dishwater over her roses, which gets rid and keeps the greenfly away. I've tried it myself and it works. Must be the drying effect of the detergent.

My mother used to put washing up liquid (like Fairy liquid) mixed with water into a spray bottle and sprayed the leaves of her plants to keep the bugs from eating leaves. Btw were you taking the Mickey about turkey on July 4th?🤣

I’ve found the Gillette Platinum to be working very well for me at the minute. It’s such a shame the spoiler isn’t produced anymore and is a bit of bugger to get hold of, will track some down and give them a go in the futur(e) :)

I am lukewarm on July 4th and esp at the present time....But I enjoy having the day off....Menu on the 4th is more burgers, hotdogs, and steaks on the outdoor grill but I wouldn't put it past some nonconforming soul to have a roast or more likely a fried turkey. ;-)

Couldn’t find that blade for sale in the UK , it’s for sale on EBay but again the shipping makes it a no no for me , I didn’t look where it came from but obviously it’s the USA 🇺🇸 , pity that I would have liked to try it , but not at £11 postage ...The Futur is to much for me now , but still a great looking razor.. I would like to see an aluminium Dorco PL 602 , it would suit me well ...Cheers Paul....Just found out the blade is discontinued..Oh yes , Happy 4th of July to all those friends across the pond 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸

Even with nearly a weeks growth, I rarely take my Futur off setting 1. Putting it onto setting 6 for a couple of days growth is like calling the fire brigade to put out a match! Try it next time you use the Futur, setting 1 throughout the entire shave.

Great shave Paul💈💈 Thanks for the 4th of July thoughts🎆independence comes first followed by hot dogs, hamburgers, fireworks and lots of ice cold brew😎 You would think with all the modern technology out there, someone could make good blades like they used to. Gillette Super Stainless "Spoiler", Personna 74 Tungsten, Wilkinson Sword "Light Brigade" 👍 Nicely done with chat and fun. Mrs H is on par again, beautiful display, thanks. Enjoy!

We're also usually treated to a concert on PBS (public broadcasting) from the Washington mall. Unlike the UK which brings out the cream of British pop history for holiday shows, we get to see a bunch of artists who'll put us to sleep. Once in awhile, a classic pop artist is on the bill. I think this year they have two major acts that had a few hits out of about 10 performers.

Love the hair horse brushes. They're really soft in the skin. Let me tell you a thing, ok Merkur Future does a great job for sure but can't go conveniently under the nose and for me the perfect razors has to do the job perfectly in every centimeter of my face, because of that isn't in mine wish list razors. Great video as always and as always too what a beautiful arrangement flowers by Mrs H. Cheers.
@shave-a-thon34155 жыл бұрын
If you have copious hairs under the nose like I do (go right into the ridge of the nostrils), only a brand new blade on a low setting with any DE razor is safe for the dozens of buffs I need to do on each nostril. I sometimes wind up using the single edge side of the Fusion to trim the area under the nose. If you think that's tough, I'm at a age where the earlobes and edges of the ears need to be trimmed, too. For that I only use a cartridge razor or an electric nose trimmer when they don't break down.

@@shave-a-thon3415 thanks for the tips. I always avoid to buy razors with huge "heads" like this ones. When I used cartridge razors I had the same problem with the 5 blades, because they can't cut well under the nose and it's so annoying to me. About the hair hears I'm using also the nose trimmer.
