I've bought two of those bear hair rests and the hair adhesive breaks apart after like 50 shots. In my experience unfortunately just a waste of money. Went out to the desert but my house and shaved off old tire rubber and works way better. Lasts a long time too.

I just put a pad of Bear Hair on my Samick Sage, however I found it almost i possible to unpeel the material that covers the sticky layer on the bottom side of the pad. It would peel away in several layers, none of which actually went down to the real sticky layer. It took 3 tries to finally get the sticky layer exposed. Seems unreasonably difficult to me.

Great video! Do you know what would be good to use to get some of the old residue off the shelf? I'm replacing my old Bear Super Kodiaks rest. Don't want to hurt the bow I love it too much.

Hi Jim .Love the information honest opinions on your channel .I have a question .I have a bearpaw Mohecan recurve shooting off the shelf .The lower hen feather is wearing after only about 30shots ,the shelf has a groove in The nock is set to about 3/8-1/2" brace is just over 8" .I shoot 3under. I played with brace height from 7 1/2" up to 8 and just over.found groups were good at 8" better than lower . Do you know what could be causing this issue ? Any help is appreciated . Thank you.

hey Jen if you had to replace the rest on a bear Montana longbow what would you prefer to use as a rest for that considering it comes with a pivot leather rest on it

Adhesion on the bear hair rest came off mid-shot and stuck on the arrow to send it flying up and into the neighbor's yard. I'll never use bear hair again.
