This adventure was more of a history lesson of Merlins earlier years! Building houses and garages, working on the Thunderbird golf course, learning the history of some older trucks, then making new friends from Germany teaching him how to drive the old model T! My mom, God rest her soul, she was at the Thunderbird restaurant when I was a kid ! She took pictures of the sign also! Drove from the UP to California and back!

My dad was 28 when that Dodge truck came out. He worked for Sterling Chevrolet Company in Detroit Mich. In 1927. He always said you could park 100 cars on a lot and then start them and find the only Chrysler on the lot because of the noise the starter made. I used to go to all the car shows here . But not so much now because of back problems. The old cars that are in these shows are when they built great vehicles out of metal instead of plastic. I loved listening to all the people you talked about their cars.

When you showed the kitchen and bread . It reminds me of my child hood . Coming home from school and the kitchen was full of homemade bread , cinnamon rolls , pies of all flavors , dinner rolls , back when food was made from scratch . A pinch of this , a dash of that , a cup was the thing you drank coffee from . It wasn't two cups it was , oh about this much . Teast it and see if it's right . The love put in the food was what made it sooooo goooood ! Back when company come over and did not leave with empty stomachs .

i live for stuff like today's show i grew up in a small town in Arizona in lakeside/pinetop & showlow area and we have the annual "run to the pines" car show thats on like it's 40th year and it to is on the golf course in pinetop country club which is like the complete opposite side of the state from you and a heck of alot cooler in the pines this was the 1st year due to a medical reason I couldn't make it so this was somethin special to watch it filled the void from missing the show here so I thank you for that

Uncle shane's truck, I had a 66 F 250 2wd, at 17yr's i put from radiator to rear axle the drive tran out of a 71 cadi sedan deVille into that PU . 365 HP 500 FP Torque . Boiled the tire's fore 2 city block's if you could keep it in the road !!!!! I'm 65 now . That was a 472 with 365 HP / 400 turbo trans slightly modified . That truck was INSANE!!!!!! Love Your Channel. KEEP IT UP !!!!!

I live in southern Nevada, and I also got a little chunk of dirt up in the mountains off of North Fork Rd. In Cougar Canyon and we got a couple old VW sand rails stashed up there and we love taking them down to Coral pink and then skimming on over to the golf course and Thunderbird, we get us a pie and take it back to camp Good times

My grandfather grew up in Garrison Ut. When he got old enough to drive, he would take all the neighborhood(all 3 or 4) kids to Baker, NV. He said he’d get to the state line and make the girls get out and walk into NV so he wasn’t charged with the Man Act. You should take one of those old golf carts to build the greens keeper his diesel one. Continue the history
