It's a cool old truck! I'm working on more of an on road/bad roads towing people hauler. A streatched single cab 96 Dodge chassis, 01 Cummins 24V with built Ppump, Allison trany, 241 & an 85 Chevy crewcab with 8 ft bed that came factory with a wooden oak floor. On 37s with air suspension eventually & gen 3 axles.

The wrecker is a Beast..Love the Cummins in it...Damn I wish I had a bunch of money I didnt know what too do with. I would be out there saving a bunch of old Vehicles. .That sucks they have to be crushed if not sold. But totally understand why Just a Shame is all.That will be awesome the Jetta pickup ..lol . I put a Tuner on My 05 Duramax and just took it on a long trip. And mind you its 4x4. And I was getting 26.8 MPG, 25.4 MPG.and the worse was 24.8. MPG.. I was Pleased to say the least.. I have it set on 3 and it goes up to 5 which I really dont need. But its there if I want to play...LOL...The Jetta will be Double that. But I was surprised I got what I did. Such a Heavy truck and all. Great Video Merlin I can only hope a Bunch of People buys the old Vehicles. I would love to have that Corvair with the Rollbar its Different. But its a shame it could be lost.. Again Great Video.. I cant wait to see the Jetta Pickup being built ..Awesome..

Merlin... I can sure understand your caution with snakes in Dan's junk yard. I'm nearly 70 years old and still have a scar on the back of my right arm from searching for parts in a junk yard in North Carolina. I was looking for some dash gauges for a 63' Ford Fairlane and I bent over to look inside of a car and got stung by a wasp or hornet that hurt enough, but what hurt more was swinging wildly with that arm and cracked my knucles across the fender of the car. So caution is always warranted in old junk yards you never know what may be lurking in them.

Did notice when y'all climbed up on the rock, your running board/step opened up a few inches from the rocker & the door a bit too. Figured there's gonna be some flex, but didn't know if you had seen it... Thanx for the ride along! Btw, had an 85 Jetta (my sons still got the motor & trans) that got 52 mpg on the highway, definitely a fun ride... Lol!

When the TTO happens, one of the competitions should be for the best "calendar shot". Like a swim suit competition, it should highlight and lay bare the best assets of each truck. Winner gets the cover and the choice of month. The rest of the "runners-up" should be featured each month. Shops will want these posters.
