Hearing Merrill Reese say, "The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champions" brought a tear to my eye. I've been listening to this man broadcast Eagles games my whole life. My dad listened to his broadcasts for all of his life as well. And finally, after so many decades, he got to announce to Philadelphia that the Eagles were Super Bowl champions. Since then, Sunday’s are my day of religious radio dial tuning to these men. Dude Merrill Is my favorite sports announcer. The excitement in his voice. His physical excitement in the box. Dude has just an amazing announcer voice. My brother and I had a bonding moment during the win. Just he and I in the garage as my dad and friends watch the game on the big screen making noise. We stayed in the garage glued to every play. We hugged and literally screamed. I was so happy. My brother with his 3rd down dance where he covers his ears and goes "la la la la la" because he doesn't want to see it screw up.
