A 1983 WWII movie and underrated gem starring David Bowie and Takashi Kitano. It attempts to bridge the gulf between 2 very culturally different worlds. The score is written by Ryuichi Sakamoto, who also stars in the movie. It is directed by Japanese director, Nagisa Ôshima. The last lines of the movie highlights the cultural difference, between the Japanese master and the British prisoner.
