Another great video. Thanks for posting. I am learning a lot about the boat. Great for when I get mine, early next year, I hope. Although all Jeanneau Agents in the U.K. are suffering from long, three month delays in there scheduled delivery slots. I think you may have bought yours second hand from a thoughtful owner? The boat looks in mint condition! I think those fans are an extra. So too, I think, are the USB sockets in the second cabin. Current boats do have a rail guard fitted over the the bottom of the switch panel ( prevents the knee knocking you mention) you could easily retro fit one of these. Regarding accidental use of the Anchor switch, you could consider just using the isolator switch in the battery switch locker. Quite a few useful tips can be found on the 895 Offshore Adventures KZbin Channel. Looking forward to the next video on the batteries, and any others in the pipeline . I hope you may post a few videos of you docking and undocking the boat. Many thanks again for a great, and very useful video you clearly have a very good knowledge of boats and boat electrics. The battery monitor is a great idea👍

Yes we managed to get a second hand from the dealer but it had barely been used. Very lucky and we didn't have to deal with the delivery delays. Interesting about the windlass switch on the newer version. We have four fans, two in the state, one mid cab and one above the dining table. Australia does get warm. Just coming into summer now so we'll see how it goes.

Forgot to ask you about that square of artificial grass? Is it used by the dogs/puppies. We have two standard dachshunds that we hope to take on some trips. Do any tips would be helpful. Also very interested in how you fitted davits for the dinghy. Seems a great idea.

Yes that is the puppies grass. Not sure if I have any advice around puppies on board but If they know that is the place to do their business everything will work.

Thank you for the video, very exhaustive! If you have time I would be interested in few other things, like how to operate the toilet (and tips like close/open valves during navigation), how to dock this boat (maybe a drone view?), how to anchor, how to set a route on the Garmin or Fusion Stereo review... I mean these are just some examples or maybe ideas for other videos as you've replied on my previous comment.. I would really appreciate a video on how to OPERATE this boat as my plan is to rent it next year! Thanks once again for your time!

@@TheRudder +1 for the video giving some emphasis in the head. After few months using the boat, have you considered replacing the manual Jabsco pump for an electrical one? It seems the have a seamlessly replacement. How annoying is the fact that the whole head gets wet when you take a shower? I am in touch with Jeanneau dealers here in Seattle to check the wait list for a NC895.

Hi, Did you find this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4CQZKRjl5x7e7c might help you? I'm 6'2" and I fit in the bow cabin. The advantage of the bow cab over the mid cab is that two people can access the bow cab without crawling over each other.

Hi, I really enjoyed your review, very thorough! If you don't mind, what kind of mileage are you getting from your engines, and what kind of range at a comfortable cruise do they return, say at between 12-15 knots or whatever you cruise at. Thank-you!
@TheRudder
@TheRudder 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message. We generally cruise at 23-25 knots. That uses about 60L/hr or about 0.7km/L. So in theory you have 10 hrs of cruising with a 2x300L tanks - so 230nm. We haven't really used it for long range cruising.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Would it be possible to pls give us the average consumption at 20knots? Thank you in advance. Wishing always safe seas.
@TheRudder
@TheRudder 2 жыл бұрын
20 knots is a difficult speed, only just on the plane. Better at 23-25kn, consumption is 55-60L/H. The Yamaha computer has an efficiency metre that means we usually go 0.7km per litre of fuel. It is a better measure, sometimes going faster is more efficient!!

That gantry frame to support a dinghy above the outboards is a great idea. Was it custom built for you? And how is it secured to the boarding platforms please? Saves hoisting it onto the roof.
@TheRudder
@TheRudder 3 жыл бұрын
Hi John, it is bolted through the duck board, through the two holes from the original grab rail and drilling new holes on the port side. Yes was a custom build. Got a video coming with the install! Thanks for you support.

Hi Mate - Thanks for the video. Can you describe your dinghy set up (i.e. the bar/pylons)? I just put a DP on a slightly used one and will be starting in the spring in New England US! Looking for something like you have, but also something that can be used to pull skiers/tubers. Would that be ill advised with this boat? Thanks in advance. Keep 'em coming.
@TheRudder
@TheRudder 3 жыл бұрын
I'm going to do a video soon but the frame work is e in 38mm stainless tube, cross members are in 32 mm tube, all high polished finish. The frame has two tie down points and x4 fixed feet bases through the swim platform as shown on the picture you provided. They are bolted up from underneath. No idea if you could pull a skier. I didn't really get designed for that but your fabricator could tell you.
