I would love to see what a slightly more budget version of that Korvold deck would look like. the problem is, if Yawgmoth's will is a very important combo piece, you cannot make it budget, because, well, it costs 70 $, but if you can live without that card, you can make it more budget by trading gaea's gradle for Growing rites of itlemoc. Grim monolith, mox diamond and mana crypt for Arcane signet, Rakdos signet and golgari or gruul signet. vampiric tutor for diabolic intent and so on and so on. the deck speed would be nerfed and the deck would be worse, but the price would be dropped down by a whole lot as well.

@DarkEinherjar5 жыл бұрын
He can bounce Korvold with Sabertooth, exile it with Food Chain or eventually draw into the Goblin Bombardment he shuffled back into the deck so he can sac it. Even if he didn't have those, he can sac the treasures one by one and stack the triggers so that the damage from Mayhem Devil will resolve before Korvold's draw trigger, allowing him to pop another treasure between triggers after the damage is dealt, so he does all the damage before drawing any cards.

Err, didn't matt mill himself? In order to ping everyone at the table to death he needed to sacrifice way more permanents than he had cards in deck. There was a way for him to play around this, sacing off the korvold, but at very least he didn't do that in the video, and he should have lost.
@Darren10045 жыл бұрын
He simply didn't let the draw triggers resolve. When he sacced a treasure, the Mayhem Devil ping and the korvold draw trigger went on the stack. He Let the damage ping resolve first, held priority and sacced another treasure to continue the combo.
