I LOVE THIS AMP!! Anyway... Check out some tasty tones from the California Tweed. We'll start with an American Professional II Strat, followed by a Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat loaded ESP USA Eclipse, and finally some dirt from a JWP Iron Man loaded ESP Purple Tiger. Not only is the reverb the best I've experienced in a Mesa, but also the amp is AMAZINGLY touch sensitive & expressive. I could noodle for hours!

I managed to buy one second hand here in England - which is great because Mesa don’t sell in the UK anymore and haven’t for years now. I play a Silver Sky with mine - so gorgeous. Works with pedals amazingly too.

Did you try out a 40 W Jensen speaker as well? In that case, what's the difference in tone?

I played a couple of them in the stores, but I did not get a chance to A/B. The tone was stellar as well- I just don't want a 40w speaker in a 40w tube amp!

Any ideas on what the serial number range is for the 100W speaker? Nice demo man they sound fantastic 👍

I had the 100 watt speaker and found I couldn't get enough treble out of it . Put in the smaller speaker and sounded better .
