I fuckin' LOVE this. I have nothing against the original, though. Pharrel's a good singer, but I adore Daft Punk's roboticized voices. My only qualm with the original was that their part didn't last long enough.

The robotic voices are actually Pharrel's voice just synthesized. I thought this was common knowledge. Daft punk isn't singing. They're synthesizing.

I realize that. In this instance, however, it is in fact, Pharrel's lyrics that he sang. Only synthesized. They just replayed his chorus and synthesized it. Daft punk is amazing, and I love their music. Not trying to talk poorly about them. If you can find proof that it is them in this instance, I'll stand down, but I believe I am correct.

i saw this version the day it came out. and was the 1st version of the song i heard. i thought it was awsome. and praised the song alot. then i heard the original version. and couldn.t help to feel dispointed. it's not that the original is bad. i just thought this version was more "daft punkish", so i never gave it a real chance. i looked for this version countless times since without the pleasure of finding it. monthes later it pop's up in the youtube "watch it again" list :D i love youtube right now

I believe more than anything it is just their style. It really defines them and creates a nostalgic feeling. I also think it is because they would rather focus on the music than anything else. They don't feel the need to make it all modern.
